I’ve been to this store once in person and once by phone, made one purchase, and attempted twice to make another. Let me explain. Last week, a friend at work showed me this tiny 16GBUSB flash drive. It was translucent white and there was no obvious name brand. He told me he had gotten it at Computers N Parts for $ 5. So, after work the next day I went by the store for the first time. I thought it odd there was a partially disassembled and abandoned Acer tower outside on the sidewalk near the front door, not exactly the best calling card for a computer repair shop. Well, that, and their web domain is for sale. I was pleasantly greeted at the register by a lady, and made my request. She confessed she wasn’t from the area and was just filling in for the owner; then, a younger man with curly hair who appeared to be a repair technician came from back to assist. He indicated there were carded USB flash drives on the rack by the register, but they were $ 24 and nothing at all like the one I had seen I was advised the owner Jerry was out due to illness, but would be in the next day. They were so friendly, and I admitted that I could have misunderstood, so I decided to check my facts. Meanwhile, before leaving, I saw some green GEUSB laptop numeric keypads that looked nifty for $ 8.95, so I picked one up. Good four-star customer service experience overall, and, even if I left without getting what I intended to buy, I came away with something else that I thought was cool. And I had hope for the morrow. I verified the facts with my co-worker overnight, and he identified in writing this was indeed the store. So, after they opened at 10, I placed a call. I’m not certain who answered the phone, but it sounded like an older male’s voice. I explained exactly what I wanted, and was rather curtly told that there was no such thing and their 16GBUSB drives were $ 24. Although these words were never used, I was made to feel like a freeloader. I felt as though the gruff response completely unwarranted, and ended the call quickly with an «OK, thanks.» I have no reason to doubt my co-worker that I’ve known for over 15 years. He suspects the store made a spot purchase at one time and ran out because it doesn’t carry a lot of inventory. Honestly, that’s OK; just be professional in your demeanor, inform me politely that you ran out, and I’ll be on my way. Clearly, I didn’t need a 16GB drive that badly. After all, they had earned a new gadget-freak customer the night before, who clearly buys things he doesn’t even need at what seems a fair price, and waited overnight to buy again. Now I refuse to set foot in this store ever again. Heaven forbid if I ever have a problem with something I buy here, because I already know what that outcome would be. The sad truth is that I wound up picking up a 32GB Patriot Axle flash drive on a lark the next day at Fry’s for $ 16.97. The 16GB version? Only $ 8.97. A bulk, generic 16GBUSB flash drive for $ 5? Not inconceivable. So much for«Buy Local». I really consider my second experience a zero, but – to be fair – I’ll give them the average of the two outings. Two stars. [P.S. Jack J: Why, yes, I do. And there are a lot more of us where I came from. Better have your zombie gun handy.]

I would not recommend using this company. First experience began with two employees at store who could not answer a simple question about a hard drive, asked to wait at store for owner to return. Called owner 40 min later and answered phone to make me wait to speak while I heard him speaking to someone else while I was on hold to finally get to asking my question. He wasnt so pleasent either. I normally support the mom and pop shop but I WOULDGOELSEWHERE
