I’ve been coming here since I moved to San Marcos. Never have a problem getting in and out and everyone is super nice. If I still lived in San Marcos this would be my go to place for a mani and pedi!

The staff was really kind, and I think maybe the day I went they were just overwhelmed. But the man sent me home with a crack in my nail, it broke a day after I got it and they’ve already started lifting. Some aren’t even covering my whole nail. I’m really wanting my money back or them relaxed. I’m pretty disappointed. Update: it’s been 4 more days and 3 more have broken off. They haven’t even been fine for a week. This has never happened to me before, I’m not very active. There’s no reason this should be happening.

Wonderful manicure, but the shellac chipped after just two days. I’ve gotten shellac done where it doesn’t chip for a solid two weeks! I don’t think they let it sit long enough. Felt like they were just trying to get me in and out as soon as they could.

Have been coming here since they opened and hardly ever disappointed. I had one nail tech make me bleed twice, but she was very nice about it and cleaned it right up — plus, she told me she was moving and wouldn’t be working here anymore. Full set, shellac, manicure, milk and honey pedicure, eyebrow waxing — all great! And the staff is so friendly!

I hadn’t gotten my nails done in years but my two teenage daughters wanted to get theirs done so I figured I would spend the money and treat all three of us to a new set of nails. I looked for a salon that was close and had good reviews. I should have read them better, because apparently my daughter and I got my nails done by the wrong person. First of all the guy cut my cuticles twice and made bleed, then did the same thing to my daughter without ever cleaning his tools. Scary! The nails were never quite right but I figured oh well they can’t be perfect until the next day when they started lifting off my nail. Not only that but they are now lifting all around the base of the nails too. After 4 days they really looked bad. As far as passing for decent looking, ehh maybe. On the other hand the guy that did my older daughters nails did a better job, hers actually still look fine. No complaints from her, so its a toss up. I might try to see if another person will redo our nails, otherwise I will never be going back to this place.

So I don’t think this place is too expensive, it seems pretty average… there are two ladies there who are the only ones I’ll let touch my nails and toes. The older lady with short hair does the BEST job! And the younger girl does as well. They always do a great job on the stiletto and almond shaped nails. I will say I will never let the man do mine again… he made them uneven, too short and wasn’t listening to what I was telling him. That incident last time is the only reason why I’m giving this place 4 instead of 5 stars. So just use the ladies!

the manicure was ok. the guy was nice but he could of done a better job. the polish was sloppy and all over my cuticles, my nails weren’t filed all the same length, and the polish wasn’t evenly distributed. I had to go home and fixed my nails myself. very disappointed.

This wasn’t quite as nice as others I’ve been to. The trim for my toes was too short for my taste since it gets into the nail bed on about half of them. It’s a discomfort that curves my run schedule. The polish was a gorgeous color, but it has already started fading. I’ll have to remove it by the end of the week. Also the nail art wasn’t sealed so it catches on my trouser socks, and I need thick socks for bed so the gems don’t scratch my legs. I might give this location a second shot and just be prepared to watch more carefully. I get pedicures to relax and pamper myself; that just didn’t happen for me this time.

UPDATE: well, I thought I had found«the» place(finally) in San Marcos. Nope… issue is not using appropriate technique for gel/lacquer polish removal. When I inquired about just«soaking» … not further«roughing» of surface and attempting to «scrape» or «file» nail surface — technician became huffy, rough and jerked my hands and nails around. I actually just stopped her and terminated the service. Left with polished partially removed and nails damaged. the on duty head tech/manager did apologize but didn’t really do anything to remedy the behavior or situation. if you want basic mani/pedi with regular polish… you’ll be satisfied. overall, really disappointed — back to searching for a decent/reasonable AND clean local nail salon. ORIGINAL: Nice atmosphere… excellent work on a mani/pedi… good/polite/customer oriented service — posted after 2nd or 3rd visit.

Hands down my favorite nail salon in San Marcos. It’s adorable, I love the nail techs, they have such hospitality, and they don’t let you leave unless you’re 100% satisfied. The salon is clean, and they clean out the pedicure tub right in front of you to insure cleanliness. The lavender pedicure is my go to. It smells heavenly and feels amazing. And the gel is always manicure. It lasts about a week and a half for me because I’m very active and always doing things with my hands. I. e yoga, swimming, cooking. They are usually very busy so be sure to call ahead when school is in session, before prom, formal, graduation etc. Treat yo self

Quality of work was ok. I got gel on my fingers for a wedding, but they didn’t paint over the front edge of my nail. So instead of lasting for 2 weeks, it’s was chipped within 2 or 3 days. Won’t be going back.

Went on a Friday night. It was pretty busy but I got in with no wait for a pedicure. I’m from out of town so I never know what to expect when I go to a new nail salon. I’m very particular especially when it comes to my nails. My massage was amazing, the guy that did my pedicure did an amazing job. I felt so relaxed. I don’t ever get the time to relax, so when I do I wanna enjoy it to the fullest. And even though I came in at 7 and they close at 8 he didn’t try to rush through it. You could really tell he was putting forth effort and wanting to do his best. Everything was clean, had no issues there. If I was still in the area I’d go back. Would definitely recommend especially cuz it wasn’t even pricey and I feel like I got more then my money’s worth. I assume the owner was the one walking around making sure everyone was doing okay, I enjoyed seeing someone taking pride in their business making sure everyone was satisfied. Overall, they made this mama very happy.

I love this place! They are always super friendly with me. The work they do is great as well. They are usually busy(which means they are obviously doing something right!) so in order to be seen quickly as a walk in, make sure you either go in really early in the morning or later at night during the week. I have no reason to try another nail salon cause the service is great and they are super friendly to me. Thanks Deluxe Nail & Spa!

Ok so I would consider myself a manicure enthusiast since I’ve been getting my nails done every two weeks for over 10 years and for San Marcos THISISTHEPLACETOGO! I stopped going here originally because they were always so busy but I just started going again and I am MORE than excited to say I’ll be going back! I had a wonderful milk and honey pedicure(yes it’s expensive but it is well worth it) and gel put on my nails. Now I will say my thumb nail chipped about a week after my manicure but I went back in today and the lady not only fixed it but repainted my entire set FORFREE! If you’re wanting great service and a nice environment and don’t mind a little more cost this is your place!

The employees here are very friendly, they do great eyebrow waxes, I was very happy with how mine turned out, and my pedicure looked amazing once he was finished with it:)

I came here with a wedding party to get manicures and pedicures. All in all the staff was efficient and the quality of work was great. I was also happy with the polish selection. Plenty of current, on trend colors to choose from. I also opted for a neutral Shellac manicure. One huge annoyance was the gal that did my manicure. She kept popping my wrist when I wouldn’t relax my hand. After a while I was about ready to pop her back! I am an adult and I do not need to be disciplined! I don’t give a damn if my wrist is not relaxed enough for you. Deal with it lady. I get manicures all of the time and I have NEVER had that happen.

I am sitting here now getting a pedicure and decided I would go ahead and write this while he finishes my pedicure. First, you should know that they are very rough. He chose to try to remove my shellac with a course nail file instead of soaking it off as they should. Twice I said, «I can wait for it to soak off.» But he refused. He consistently filed my cuticle even after I said it hurt. So once I put my feet back in the water, it stung. I asked for Shellac and was told it would be $ 20 extra. That’s extremely over-priced! Nothing at all about this pedicure felt luxurious. They would start and stop as the phone rang or if someone came in. They actually interrupted pedicures to do a waxing on other customers. And every time you complain that its too rough, they look at each other and talk in Vietnamese. I suggest(which I already knew) that if you want a nice service, go to a full service professional salon. You might pay more, but it’s worth it in the end.

Very nice staff and decently priced. Only thing I don’t like is that they are always packed! Better to call ahead and make an appointment.

I’m not exactly an expert on nail salons, but this place gets the job done and I always feel comfortable. The staff are friendly and eager to please, and they seem to really take the massage portion of your manicure very seriously. I’m always satisfied with my manicure and they are always very interested in making sure you walk away happy. They have a decent selection of OPI colors as well as a handful of other brands, and everything is very clean and hygienic. I really like that they open a new sterilized package of tools for every customer — no worries about random bacteria or germs. I don’t always get my nails done, but when I do, I come here.
