Hollandia Park

The Hollandia family was so generous to create one of the largest parks for young people in the city of San Marcus. Many softball fields, dog park, soccer fields and running trails and skateboard park. A note about the skateboard park, it has been closed in the past because skateboarders were not wearing their helmets. People of the city walk by to check it out, so wear your helmet.

Nice park. Very clean and lots of space. Baseball fields, skate park, grass, playground, long paved path for riding bikes or walking. Up on a hill so there are great views, lots of benches for sitting. My kids liked the play structure, jumping on the big rocks in the sand, and climbing on the rock wall.
Clean bathrooms.
Parking lot is kind of a far walk from the playground, closer to the ball fields.
And the entire park smelled bad. Maybe from the dairy next door? I noticed the smell as soon as we got out of our car. It wasn’t unbearable and kind of came and went, but it was still present. Not sure if it is always that strong or we were just there on a weird day.

Awesome park with good trails for dogs!

Mission Hills Park is a nice park in San Marcos. The park has a big jungle gym (with sand), baseball fields, skatepark, dog park, a climbing wall and a big grass area for flying kites and other things. There are benches to sit on. It is located next to the high school and the grounds are kept up. Next time you want to let your kids burn some energy off take them here.
