Shane’s Pizza and Pints

Great pizza, great service and super convenient! I wish it didn’t take so long for delivery but it is always worth the wait.

Friendly staff, but frozen pizza-​quality pizza crust. Small beer menu for a restaurant that has ‘pints’ in its name. There are way better pizza places throughout SD.

I can’t begin to say how great this place is. Not just because of the food, though the fried pickle chips are pretty amazing. I placed a rather large order with a bunch of «can I have this but none of that» kind of stuff.
The order came in exactly the amount of time they said it would. Unfortunately my gluten free and «no this or that» had stuff on it I’m allergic too. I called and we reviewed the order. They offered to make another one for me but it was going to be another 45 minutes. I knew how busy they were so just asked for credit. They were very gracious about it.
A few minutes later I get a call that they all ready had a new pizza in the oven and would be dropping it by in a few minutes. They really didn’t need to do that I was happy with my credit. It was so wonderful of them and it was one of the best gluten free pizzas I’ve had in a very long time.

Got delivery. Came in an hour and both things I ordered were not right. Pizza tastes like Pizza Hut. Not worth the 16 $.
Meatballs were yummy though.

Shane’s is a local pizza place that’s reasonably priced, friendly staff and good food.
We’ve been going there regularly ever since the original pizza place was there.
Giving it a one star for their inability to host 35 people for a wedding rehearsal dinner. The convenience of being local the night before our big day and that it’s a favorite place to eat is pretty appealing.
The owner told me because they are normally busy anyway he can’t do it. Wait what? So us bring 35 people interferes with their normal busy crowd? I’m sorry, but turning away someone whose giving you 10 weeks notice is baffling.
Definitely won’t be returning here moving forward. Great ownership would recognize and accommodate such a big occasion and realize 35 guests who are going to be eating and drinking isn’t wise. We aren’t staying to chat as there will be other things happening after dinner to prepare and relax for the wedding. Otherwise I’d get us hogging tables for hours as counterintuitive.
Oh well, we’ll find a new local place to throw our money to on the big occasion and weekly for pizza nights.
Disappointing to say the least.

Took a little lunch moto ride with a coworker over there today. As soon as I walked through the door, I was greeted with a smile and about 10 minutes later had a very tasty cheeseburger in my hand. Burger tasted just like it got off the grill in my backyard at a reasonable price. Cant wait to go back to chill and have a beer and try some more food. For now if you are in the area or want to take a scenic drive from escondido through elfin forest. check it out!

My all time favorite pizza spot in San Elijo Hills, they keep the beers on tap in a constant rotation. The owner Shane has an incredible knack for ordering new and exciting beers. Five stars !!!

My husband and I just moved to San Elijo and we found our new regular spot. Beers on tap are amazing. Dog friendly patio which is a deal breaker for us. Plenty of TVs so we can watch the game. Food is also great and so is the staff. Justin takes good care of us and I let him recommend my beer.

I have enjoyed this local spot since they opened. For San Elijo, you can’t beat the convenience. However, the value for dollar equation is challenged. The food is good and beer selection great. I want to support a local business and I would frequent more often if the value for the menu price was enhanced. Dog friendly a plus. 2.8÷5

Omg hands-​down Shane’s pizza is awesome! Whenever I’m working in the area must stop by for lunch, their BBQ pizza & wings are awesome! Staff here is very friendly. Highly recommend stopping by for some pizza.

I wish I had a better experience here, my boyfriend has been a frequent visitor here for years ever since it was hendos. He has been recommending this place to me for a while now and on a Saturday night I finally came. When we got there the inside was really small and packed, but luckily they have a great large outside covered patio (Dog friendly).
We were standing in line the 3 people in front of us ordered and once we got up there to order the man that was taking orders decided to do phone orders for a while instead. We were standing there waiting for someone to take our order, some other guy comes by (we thought he was going to be nice enough to take our order) and he said «sorry guys he has to take your order» and pointed to the man on the phone that has been ignoring us. Phone order after phone order after phone order and we were completely ignored, about 7 phone orders in and standing there for 10 minutes the guy that talked to us ended up coming back and apologized, and decided to take our order anyway so we didn’t have to keep waiting. (Not sure why he didn’t just do that in the first place).
After we ordered we got our fountain drink and there was no ice… a worker comes over and fixes it for us and says it gets jammed. We decided to sit outside, we ordered mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. I ordered the vodka penne and my boyfriend got the chicken parm. We were sitting for quite some time so my boyfriend decides to go in and check on our food, they apologized for the wait. Shortly after we got the mozzarella sticks and they were perfect. A little while goes on and we received our pastas, I thought it was just average nothing spectacular. My boyfriend who comes here quite often also thought this time it was just average.
The guy that brought us our food the whole time was great, he was very nice and did a great job checking up on us, 5 stars for him alone. The food took quite some time, the people that sat next to us got there before us and still didn’t get there food even before we left. Overall I probably won’t return, but I will try ordering some pizza next time.

Shane and Justin thank you for a great experience!!! Shane helped me with my beer selection, which was perfect! Pizza was good, liked the option of choosing the crust type. I came around 5pm which was perfect, 5:45 it was packed! Will be back:-)

Love this place! The food is excellent the price is right and the service goes above and beyond. Justin H. Took our order, brought our food and checked on is regularly so he was great. We got a delicious thin crust pizza and the spicy chicken wings were actually spicy which is a pleasant surprise.

I was working close to this place when I check on Unilocal some places to eat and Surprise! :) PIZZA (one of my favorite food) I ordered one large for me and my coworker with sodas for only $ 20 to $ 25 I don’t remember because I was very hungry;) they told me that is gonna take like 10 mn and the next 10 mn Surprise! I got my Delicious Pizza, Mmmm Very Very Good! I’ll Recommend this Place to anyone.@

I wish I got the ladies name who helped us. She was beyond kind and patient!
Being on a strict diet she was able to make me a gf pizza without dairy, this pizza was insanely delicious and I also had a gf hard cider pineapple beer!
I will definitely recommend this place and come back since it’s one of the few places in San Elijo!

Super convenient, a bit overpriced for what you get but you can’t beat the 5 min walk there.
The gluten free pizza is delicious. I wanted to cheat and ordered the buttermilk chicken tenders since they looked awesome on a photo that someone else posted. They were horrible. $ 8 for burnt bread w/​a hint of chicken. I will stick to the pizza from now on.

. It’s a little out of the way since we live on the coast, but we don’t mind driving to San Elijo to try some pizza. The area is nice, up and coming, and the restaurant is cozied up in the corner before some apartments. I dig the city vibe this area gives.
Parking: private lot or one way street parking. Depending on the time of day you come, you’ll find parking!
Atmosphere/​Cleanliness: this is a cool spot to watch sports and drink some beer. They have a wide selection of beers and although I don’t drink, I imagine it could be a great time. The outdoor area caters to dogs if you want to bring them. However, it’s very dirty. Dog hairs everywhere. It’s as if no one bothered to sweep? When we arrived our table was dirty, chairs and the ground below our feet. Had we brought our dog, I wouldn’t have minded much.
Food: we ordered fried pickles and pizza. The pizza wasn’t what we expected. A little too doughy and not enough cheese. Pickles were good but very very greasy.
I want to love this place, so I will come back and give it another try and order something else.

I like this place and appreciate that we now have a local spot for pizza and pints. Prices seemed to come down a tad and the pizza is tastier than the old ‘local spot’. I used to frequent the other place down the road when I was feeling ‘lucky’ and now I will call this place home. Warm and friendly service and a decent place for a cheesy pie. Thanks Shane!

Came here on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn’t packed here at all and we didn’t have to wait long at all to get our food. Customer service was great and everyone was very attentive. There are TVs at the bar area inside and there are 4 TVs outside. There is very little seating inside with a lot more tables in the covered area out back. This place is dog friendly too!
We sat at our table outside and I notice a ton of dog hair on one of the seats I was about to sit in. I then looked at the floor and there was more hair piled on the floor beneath our table. The entire cement floor on the outside looks filthy dirty. Table tops were clean only.
We ordered Fried Pickle Chips and ranch for $ 5. These were pretty good and had more flavor than their Godfather Pizza. The pizza hardly had any flavor despite all the toppings that were on it. The Godfather is similar to an Italian pizza without much flavor. The crust seemed to be more stale than crisp. A medium Godfather costs you $ 16. Definitely not worth the $ 22 that I spent for one medium pizza and an appetizer. Check out

I don’t drink, so I can’t vouch for their beers, but I wouldn’t recommend pizza here. We may be back to try out their salad and wings. Parking is not an issue here. There is a parking lot as well as street parking.

Justin is great! Ok, had to get that out of the way. You know what’s also great? Their Cajun crust!
Came here with my mom and her kids and wow was I impressed. We’ve lived in SEH for nearly 9 years and prior to Shane’s I remember it being Hendo’s and I remembered not liking it so I never came back. That is, until my mom suggested she and her friends love it, I decided to give it a shot. We ordered Just the basic pizza with the garden salad and it was fresh and delicious. Light, not too greasy and tasty with the crust choices (they have a few).
I also ordered myself a beer and to my delight, found that they serve quickly craft beer from my favorite local breweries. Not only did they have my favorite but I even got an added taster, perfect!
Justin was awesome at serving us. He saw the children and brought them colored crayons and plates for us. He checked in every so often always with a smile. By far the best customer service.
