Ran by Husband and Wife, very nice couple. I have been steadily going here for two years. It’s a very affordable haircut, better than most Barbers/​Salons in the San Marcos Area.

I am a doctor and like to look professional. I asked for a «low fade» haircut. Sophia did an superb job, and I’ll certainly return. Talent is talent.

As much as I don’t like long Unilocal reviews, I felt this was necessary. For those who don’t want to read all of this:
Absolutely do NOT go here. Go anywhere else! This woman shouldn’t be allowed to cut ANYONE’S hair.
I wish 0 stars was an option because it was seriously that bad. I was planning to go somewhere else recommended by a friend and was told at other place Sophia worked there. Go to other place and the guy tells me that Sophia doesn’t work there, like he told me and sent me to Sophia’s. First of all, it is extremely hard to determine this location exactly because their «sign» is a very small paper in the window, with small font that says it. Keep in mind these windows are covered top to bottom in very large colorful font.
Ok, so the inside looks terrible and really not even that clean. She doesn’t even have tubs there to wash hair… wtf. Parts my hair where I keep it parted (this shouldn’t be done until after the haircut is over). Starts brushing out the tangles in my hair FROM THE MIDDLE, WTF?! Anyone knows you start at the bottom. I hadn’t brushed my curly hair to show her my curls dry because I was under the impression she would wash it for one, like any place that cuts hair does. And two, because my hair becomes a huge poof ball when i brush it.
She is spraying a lot of water on my hair and says my hair needed the cut because it’s dry. MY HAIR IS DRY BECAUSE IT ISN’T WET. She also told me when brushing out tangles in my hair that my hair needed to be cut because it was tangled. So, I told her that no, this is due to the fact that my hair hasn’t been brushed.
So, since she cut my hair where I keep it parted, it has grown out very uneven and I was forced to get it cut again sooner than I usually would. However, I found Cyrell at Supercuts and she has saved my hair and I and gave me spectacular service.
When I told Cyrell that Sophia’s did this catastrophe to my hair, she was not surprised, proceeded to tell me of the horrors she’s seen after people have gone to her, and she sees at least 5 people a week who received bad hair cuts from her.

I went here to get my hair permed. After waiting 30 minute for the guy who was supposed to do my hair (I clearly told him 12pm, for some reason this was misconstrued to be 2pm), I was sent to the second location on Thorpe. The woman told me she wouldn’t do it because my hair was not in conditioned to be permed. She didn’t offer to do a deep conditioning or anything. Funny how my old hair stylist in Austin was able to do my hair with good results. It’s obvious this woman did not want to have to do African-​American hair. She could have just said that. I wasted my time with these people, if I could give negative stars, I would. I will do what I should have done in the first place and drive to Austin or San Antonio where people know their skill and conduct themselves like professionals.

My husband goes here all the time to get a high & tight. The price is good for what you’re asking her to do, and the location is pretty convenient. She is friendly and you don’t need an appointment. For $ 6.00 you can’t complain.

Quick, convenient, friendly, location but most of all, cheap! $ 6 does the trick!

I came here today to get my eyebrow’s waxed. She is very friendly and did a great job. Great customer service and although they came out a little thinner than I am used to, I still tipped her for her lovely service.
