Dr. Steiner is very thorough in his work and provided great service to me. During my exam, he took the time to explain in detail his findings and recommendations. Dr. Steiner identified some issue as a result of me sleeping in my contact lenses, and suggested how to correct this issue or prevent it from getting worse. He saw me a month later to do a re-​assessment to see if my vision improved so I wouldn’t have to purchase a box of lenses that I wouldn’t need. Further, the contact lenses I purchased from my last optometrist weren’t the best fitting (a lot of movement). He offered a few suggestions which led to me finding a very comfortable brand of contact lenses.
Javier Rosales is a great optometrist assistant. He was patient with me as we tried on a good number of glasses until I found the one that looked good on me. He set me up with an online account to reorder my contact lenses in the future, and is a very professional and kind person.

I have dealt with Dr. Steiner and he and his staff are providing a great service to North County, filling an Optometric void in vision care with professionalism and patient oriented care.
As far a I know, he is the only O.D. in North County San Diego that is doing Low Vision evaluations in addition to primary Optometric care. This not only takes specialty training, but more time with each patient, and with his many years of experience in a variety of medical environments, he is well qualified to do this.
Plus his gentle manner is reassuring, and unlike some other Optometrists in the industry, it is not just about the money the practice makes, but the care it gives.
The office is brand new and spotless. The staff is friendly and accommodating.
He is qualified to do evaluations for the California Department of Rehabilitation, so this can vouch for the reliability of his skills.
If you need general optometry from a seasoned professional, or require the extra expertise that anyone suffering with low vision issues such as Macular Degeneration or Diabetic Retinopathy should have, I would recommend Dr. Steiner to anyone in North County San Diego.

My experience with Dr. Steiner and his staff was extremely positive. Dr. Steiner took the time to perform a very thorough exam and identified an issue not previously noted by my prior optometrist. Dr. Steiner’s staff was extremely courteous and the experience was a very positive one. I was also really pleased with the quick turnaround time on the new glasses I ordered. As with any other professional service, I would suggest making an appointment which I noticed the other reviewer did not do. Had she done so, I suspect her experience would have been as positive as mine! I highly recommend World of Vision Optometry and Dr. Steiner!

I needed to have an eye exam and I didn’t want to make a drive to my eye doctor in Carmel Valley since I live in San Marcos. I stopped by a place in San Marcos that had specials on eyewear. Thinking they would have an Optometrist. They did not but, they referred me to World of Vision.

It was in kindof an odd location but, I did find it. When I got there the shades were closed and the door was locked. I thought that was odd so I started to leave and then some man opened the door and came out. I explained I needed to make an eye appointment. It was all dark inside. He was on his lunch hour and was either meditating or sleeping. I felt I was an inconvenience. Had a really weird feeling and I’ve learned to go off of my gut instincts. So I left and made an appointment with my trusted optometrist in Carmel Valley and all is right with the world now.
