Staff is awesome! We came after 7 when they close but I brought a co-worker from the UK where they never swing a bat. Staff was pleasant enough to allow a few rounds for us and kindly waited. Outdoor batting cages are so much better because you can see the flight of the ball off the bat!

I just happened to stumble across this place while taking a detour off of the 101 due to heavy traffic. And was I pleased. I thought I’d stop in to relieve some road rage tension from some annoying drivers on the 101. Was greeted by the manager of the establishment and kindly asked if I needed help. I did, as I’ve never been to a batting cage before(I’m from New Zealand, we don’t have them). He showed me the different cages with varying speeds from slow pitch softball, right up to 70MPH baseball. Showed me the price range, which I thought was Ssssuper Cheap & the bats & helmets are free use if you don’t have your own. However it does look like it could use some sprucing up, but I don’t mind it so long as the machines are working and that safety signs are up, I’m just there to smack some balls. This definitely a great place for the beginner to the well seasoned batsmen or just have a bit of fun. For me, it’s the perfect end to my day after 8hrs working in Santa Clara and another 1hr in traffic on my way home to Gilroy, this my «me time» spot. So thank you 101 traffic and you crazy drivers, your stupidity led me to my stress reliever!

I have been going here since I was eight years old. I am now 22 and yes this is the only place I go to. I am from San Jose and I have been to the cages around my city that do not compare to this place. Sure it hasn’t changed in about ten years but these cages are the absolute best. It’s an outdoor cage with about seven available instead of the average three to four in San Jose. They do sell some snacks and drinks in case you do not bring your own and helmets and bats are free. Nobody rarely comes here and its the beauty of it. It never gets packed on the weekdays but weekends may differ. Another downfall would be the weather since it’s outdoors. If it’s a rainy day or it’s too cold, it just isn’t for me. A 20 minute drive to hit some balls for a cheap price is so worth it in my world. San Jose has not one batting cage that comes close. I hope business will continue to remain at this place. I love it.

The guy who runs this is easy to get along with and seems like a nice person. They hooked us up with one of the sandwiches they were starting to make and they were quite tasty too. Good fun and different speed cages.

Like the other reviewer said, not impressive but it has the essentials. $ 2 dollars for 1 token, $ 5 for 3, $ 10 for 8 and so on. Each token gets you 25 pitches. They have bats and helmets available. A decent place to come for some batting practice.

Has baseball cages from 25 or 30 mph to 65 or 70mph, one slow pitch softball cage. I like going here since it is right next to driving range, owner is nice and the cost is less expensive than the ones near SJ($ 2.50/ 25 pitches)
