I always like coming to the store because the service has always been friendly and helpful, without the pretentiousness of some of the department stores (i.e. Macy’s). I never had a problem returning merchandise if necessary.

It’s just a retail chain so aside from exception customer service, there’s not much room to impress. On this occasion, the custom service was actually awful and I had to wait in line way longer than I should have because there was only 1 cashier and 3 other people (including 1 manager) standing around and calling for cashier backup instead of just doing it themselves. The original cashier had some rebate issue to resolve and called the manager and instead of confirming the price themselves, the manager called for yet another person to retrieve the price tag from the shelf — he should have done it himself and asked that person to run cashier instead.

Their customer service was fantastic when our toaster oven I bought almost a year and a half ago broke. They were so courteous, even apologetic. I went in to buy a replacement but they told me to just bring the old one in and they would give me a new one. Did not expect that at all.
Their prices are comparable to Amazon’s especially if you use their coupons and with their excellent customer service, I will definitely continue using them in the future.

when i walk in i do my happy dance with the employees before i hit the clearance section. customer service is always great at this location. The lines are never long! The store is always super clean !

The worst customer service ive ever experienced at a Bed Bath and Beyond! Customer service counter was rude, and so was the manager. They wasted so much of my time and gave me a hard time for a return.

I love this store. It always smells so nice when I come in here. There is a clerk named Debra who is very helpful and nice.

In terms of size, this place is about right. Not as many clearance items, it seems, as some others. Returns can be a bit spotty if you don’t have a receipt and they have to look up the item. I’ve never seen it totally disheveled. Some cashiers are pushy with the last minute add-​on items. Bring your 20% coupon! There are few things I consider «bargains».

I was there yesterday to get a house warming gift and after finding some great pieces, one of their staff person told me to check out the gift wrapping place. While I was paying for the stuff, I thought to check with them for how much do they charge for gift wrapping and to my surprise it’s a free service.
I love their gift wrapping station. Well, yes their material is in limited colors but it’s free! :p

Would be nice if someone worked the cash registers and not just put signs that pointed at customer service.

Bed Bath Beyond is great! This location has a huge parking lot that shares with the other shops so you won’t have any issues on finding a space.
The store, like it’s other locations, is very organized and have most items stocked to the roof. They have great customer service and I’ve never had any issues dealing with any of the employees. With the 20% coupons, which are now available through text, you can find deals that are cheaper than online.
What I don’t like is that the knife section is not always fully stocked. Many of the display knives are missing! That just looks bad. Once I bought a dish tray that was missing a part. When I brought it back the manager admitted noticing it. So why did you leave it on display then??? At least they sent me a new one without question. But I would appreciate if they stock check.

My Fiancé and I came here a couple weeks ago to set up a wedding registry for our wedding this June. We worked with a guy named Nav and let me tell you he is AWESOME!
He helped us set up the entire registry, waked us through EVERY section of the store, and had loads of helpful tips, and he was able to answer any of our questions about any of the items. For example: we looked at kitchen knife sets and he knew everything about them to help us choose a set. He personally went in their system and found the exact color and make of a Kitchen Aid Mixer I wanted that they did not have on their showroom floor too!
He spent several hours with us explaining everything and letting us know what we should have on the registry. Honestly, I hope they pay this guy well because he was one of the most helpful sales associates that I have ever worked with! I give him props for working with couples all day because that can’t be easy!
The store itself could use a face lift & more bedding options but other than that I had a great experience here. If my review were based on Nav himself, it would be 5 stars for sure!
Pro tip: Ask for Nav for anything Wedding!

I have been visiting BBB, Foster City for over 8 years and I think the provide THE BEST customer service anywhere. They have tons of great products and at great prices. Store is always clean, well lit and welcoming.
Tip: They offer 20% coupons if you sign up w/​them and this makes everything very cheap (especially for big ticket items).

They had such great customer service, it actually hurt my brain… I know. Sounds weird, right?
Let me explain.
I bought a soda stream as a gift in Dec. Almost 6 months later, it started to misbehave. We took it back to Bed Bath and Beyond in May (no receipt). We brought just the unit and nothing else. We walked towards the customer service booth and were helped immediately. I asked them if they needed info from me and they were so ridiculously easy to deal with I was just dumbfounded.
We grabbed a new machine (that includes all sorts of stuff) like they told me and when we got back up to the counter to do the switch, something even more amazing happened.
The unit was on promotion. Dude at the counter took my card, refunded the original one at the price I paid for it, charged the new one at the new promotional price and even added the 20% discount to it. I didn’t even have a coupon with me! So… not only did I get a new machine, I got a new machine with all the extra parts to it at a discounted price.
W T F (and in a good way of course) Talk about treating the customer right.
To be honest, I would have been ok if they said «hey, it’s been over 5 months and you don’t have the receipt. I’m sorry, you have to go through the manufacturer» I mean come on… it was well over 5 months.

I love this BBB store. I can’t tell you how many kitchen and household items I bought from this store the past few years!
I could not find better pricing than BBB, with their 20% off coupon. Since I moved so many times, every time I moved, I received some 20% off coupons from BBB. And I have kept a stack of it and I used it to shop for the big ticket item. I got my Kitchen Aid stand mixer there. I also got my All Clad pots and pans there. And much more, such as a heater, a fan, bathroom and bedroom stuff. They even sell some furniture on line. And you can order on line and pick up in store without shipping charge. Also I finally got my cake/​cupcake carrier here, with a 20% off coupon of course!
The variety of stuff they carry also is amazing. Every time I think of something that would be nice to have, I go there and I would find something that fits what I am looking for. It’s like they can read my mind or something.
What tops the shopping experience is their helpful staff. I have not walked into the store once without having someone either greeting me or stopping by me to ask me if I need help to find something. They must have similar customer service training similar to that of Nord Strom so that all of their staff is focusing on making the customers happy. Bravo!

I needed a sealable dry foods bin. I have like 200 of their 20% off coupons. I found what I was looking for and got it at a good price using the coupons.
I got the OXO Pop dry storage 4 qt and 3.4 qt bins. I checked all over the internet and I couldn’t beat the BBY price with the coupon.
The red headed kid that rang me up could’ve had a better attitude. He was acting like he was being punished by having to work the register… and I was the only customer!

This store has pretty much everything you need for home. plus a little more you don’t but *must have* because it looks cute or ‘may come in useful one day’, like the cute individual tupperware cupcake holder I spotted on my most recent visit (

I especially like this store because it recently came to my rescue when my kitchen scales decided to stop working and not even Target had what I needed. Best part was that I found them here in the sale plus with my coupon I got in the mail just days before I got them for half price. Excellent.
I must be lucky with my visits too because so far I’ve not experienced a long line at the tills yet. If you only have a few items they often open up a new till for you or send you over to customer service.
Well organised and stocked with friendly helpful staff, no complaints here.
