Beautiful park alongside the lagoon in Foster City. The playground just got an update with all new equipment and it is fenced in. There is a basketball court immediately next to the playground and tennis courts immediately next to the basketball court. A large soccer field takes up the majority of the park. There are bathrooms here, which is a plus. My only complaints? There is no separate equipment for the under 5 set, and the basketball court and playground seem not to have been executed properly as the edge of the bb court touches a fenced edge of he playground. Overall though, beautiful park with great facilities.

Found my go to spot for outdoor basketball. One full court with beautiful backdrop. Nice kids park, full soccer field, running track and volley ball track! Plenty of free street parking and clean bathroom. What’s not to love! Will be back over and over

Catamaran Park has an all-weather track, turf, sand volleyball pit, basketball court, and tennis courts with lights. And, get this, a CLEAN bathroom! Now that is perfection right there. I’ve been running here for the past year and I’ll never get tired of this place. One mile here equals 5 laps around the track so it’s definitely a lot of circles. But it’s hard to get over that amazing view overlooking the bridge and the lagoon. This place is perfect for runners with bad knees/feet/hips too. The all-weather track and turf add a nice little cushion for those achy joints. Downside is that this park does get pretty busy after 4pm on weekdays and during the day on weekends for soccer practices and games. If you go during these times there is a 20% chance you will get whacked in the head by a drifting soccer ball. Also beware, a couple breeds of birds really like to hang out around the left lagoon side of the track. Meaning you’ll be bringing home some goose poop if you sit/stretch there. Trust me, I’ve learned the hard way :( The basketball courts are usually busy all day. Tennis courts are busy sporadically. The sand volleyball pit is usually only busy during the day on weekends.

This park, on the Northwest corner of Shell and Catamaran, must be very popular because it seems to be in constant use. There are groups of men using the basketball courts at all hours of the day and night; I think there is a perpetual pick up game. Weekends bring kids playing soccer tournaments, couples pushing strollers, and people walking their dogs. We belong to this last category of users. My aunt lives in the Lido Isle condominium complex next door(the one with the blue roofs and they yellow awnings) and whenever we visit we take our dogs for walks around this park. It has large expanses of green grass and a lovely view of the water. It’s like an oasis in the middle of the urban sprawl that is the San Francisco Bay area. Come on out and join experience a little bit of nature.

Lovely and clean park for outdoor boot camp… well-kept and lots of folks out. water view with various kayaks and canoes on the water, along the park’s edge. Nice little track area for folks jogging and walking, and there are also basketball courts, which we utilized for a circuit agility and strength area. Doing yoga outside, warrior poses, etc… breeze blowing in your hair to cool one down… just sublime. Wonderful experience and glad that I am getting introduced to FC this gorgeous way… the park-a-licious way!

It’s a nice sized park in Foster City — probably top 5 in size and location. My main complaint is that the fields seem to always be closed for repair, a cornucopia of bird feces and too many soccer kids on weekends that I’ve almost driven into. There’s plenty of space to run around, throw, kick, etc. but the grounds are usually under repair. The tennis court is nice and lit at night, but there are only 2 courts, so it’s often used. The basketball court is also under heavy traffic throughout the week. FYI, I’d say that the #1 park to play sports would be Sea Cloud, for tennis courts go to Boothbay Park. I don’t find this place functional, but I always see parties BBQ-ing and people having fun, so it must be good for something. Try it, if it’s busy, don’t worry, there are only 20 other parks left in FC to check out. Here’s a grid of all FC parks:
