Extremely disappointed. Placed a to go order for deconstructed aloo tikki and deconstructed samosa. Received both as deconstructed samosa. This is so frustrating because there were only 2 people who were dining at the restaurant which makes it evident that they were not busy at all. Too bad. So disappointing

First time patron. Wouldn’t have normally gone for a curry burrito considering I don’t like rice in normal burritos, but this was pretty good. Got the chicken tikka masala burrito. Exactly what you are imagining. Chicken tikka masala with rice inside a tortilla. Raita was more liquidy than I’m used to and the chutney was not what I was expecting. The chutney is just a tiny side of the cilantro green sauce and another tiny brown sauce. The guy behind the counter was very nice. Would absolutely go back to try out some other menu items.

This is not a place if you are in a hurry. The restaurant name is a misnomer. We ordered and waited and waited… I don’t mind waiting, just don’t set my expectation that delivery will be quick.

We ordered Veggie burger, kathie roll(Paneer) and burrito bowl(Paneer), mint lemonade and two cups of tea. The food sucked in taste. The size of the paneer has reduced dramatically. The plates were like we were having food in the prison. Those lame and unpolished aluminum plates. The tea was tasting very bad. Actually it was brown water. Please buy better milk(vitamin D). This will help. Overall, it ruined my experience since I had come specially from LA to have it.

This is tasty and fast Indian street food and though they do not have a separate gluten free station I have yet to have a reaction when I tell them I need my meal gluten free. They have a gluten free menu online and limited table seating for all the people who come here so you may want to order online and pick up your meal to go.

Today is at least the FOURTH time my order has been either screwed up and/or not ready on time. It’s now over 45 minutes late. STUPIDME for giving Curry Up another chance. You won’t get another.

Simple words: if you really want to try indian street food, this place is the bomb :) My wife loves chaats and this is our new favorite. must haves: De-constructed samosa & sev puri Chicken tikka burrito with saag.(saag is spinach and adds additional flavor) even my American friends love it with saag than the regular one.

The phone number on the Unilocal website is actually the fax number. It needs to be corrected.

Curry Up Now has single-handedly improved Indian cuisine in the Bay Area. It is spicy, flavorful, and just plain freaking delicious. The(annoyingly named) sexy fries are amazing; I wouldn’t be surprised if they were classified as a Schedule I drug.

I love me Indian food, and every time we find this truck, our favorite pick is the beef Kathi roll. This a whole wheat parantha with a egg wash that consists of beef, pickled onions and chutney. A few things to note: * Super savory and instantly satisfying * Easy to eat & run, contingent on how you strategize eating it * If not use to a «spicy kick,» have water within reach The samosas are also a good addition should you need more to fill your stomach. Excellent quick bite! *** If you can’t meet this truck, then try their restaurant location Downtown San Mateo! 129 South B St San Mateo, CA94401 (650) 477‑3000

I’ve been to their food truck a lot, so I already knew what to expect. Hubby and I were looking for a reason to come to the restaurant, and since we don’t really live that close it just hasn’t happened. We were on our way home from seeing a show in the city and thought«Why not?» Ordered our usual Chicken Tikka Masala burritos(his extra spicy). We also ordered the Sexy Fries with Tikka Masala. Holy cow, were those awesome. Sweet Potato waffle fries with yummy tikka masala and cheese. I should have just ordered a double(or triple) order of that and made a meal of it. I’m salivating now just thinking about them.

3.6 stars(I’ll round up)! Solid Indian style food. The selection is small, but that’s totally understandable for a food truck. Had a chicken burrito and chicken fries. It should feed 2 people, but can just about feed 3. The sauce is very tasty on both, but they are basically the same sauce. The fries were good, big, heavy, and messy. Don’t schedule a boring meeting after lunch: D

whoa nelly! They have this down PAT now… order online — or from their FREE phone APP! — then just pick it up 30 min later. Perfect solutions to the long lines! Butter chicken burritto is FAB!

Was excited to pick up food from here based on the reviews and the food truck movement which I support. Unfortunately, the food did not cut it. Way too much salt in the rice and paneer pakoda. Kinda drowned the taste of everything else. The roti was good and chicken tikka masala which the guy said was their specialty was good too. Would have been 4 stars except for the salt.

Many a day is brightened when the Curry Up Now truck shows up in San Mateo. I’ve tried a variety of items from here, but the Chicken Tikka Masala burrito [or CTM, for people in the know] is by far the most popular item on their menu. And for good reason. Flavorful, juicy, and filling without being too dense. Just the right amount of heat. And if you like things HOT, order it spicy. They’ll ask you, «Spicy?» Think this question through. Unless you know Indian flavor profiles very well, their spicy is effin’ HOT. Like involuntarily sweating and heart-racing HOT. It’s amazingly good, but you’ve been forewarned. :-p I’m also a fan of the deconstructed samosas. Chicken and veggie versions are yummy. Traditional samosas are winners as well. You can add a samosa and/or mango lassi drink to any item for a discounted«combo» price. The menu changes daily, with the items already mentioned here typically showing up every day. They’re usually in SM for a fleeting moment, so try to get there when they first arrive. By the end of their designated time, they start closing up shop fast to head out into SF or their next stop. The crew is really friendly and seem to know the regulars. Follow them on Twitter or like them on Facebook and get truckin, curry style. ;-)
