Jack In the Box

Skipped dinner to go watch a movie tonight, super hungry afterwards and wanted to grab a quick bite. At 10:30 the doors are closed even though the hours says 6am-​12am.
One of the remaining customers that was still eating opens the door for us at which point someone, who I don’t think is the manager but if he is, God save this Jack because he angrily said we’re closed. We wanted to know why they’re closed at 10:30 just so we know if this is a regular occurrence instead of wasting our time in the future. Not only was he extremely short and threatened to call the cops on us, he told the guy that was still eating to leave.
I didn’t get a chance to eat the food or even set foot inside, but I sure don’t think I’m gonna go here and get verbally abused again.

Terrible food, terrible neighborhood.
If you want a better burger with a better price, try to find an in and out, even if you have to drive further. The patty was too dry with some hard structures, lettuce was not crunchy and the bums was not toasted.
The restaurant was clean but the neighborhood was terrible. I would not recommended eating inside.

Jack in the Box services going down quickly they do not pay attention to what you order and when they make a mistake they still blame you & say that’s the way you ordered it. On the mistake they make they do not bother to give you anything. No refund no extra drink no fries no extra sandwich nothing it doesn’t matter what you have ordered … I m only giving two stars because there is one really nice Asian lady there who always tends to serve you how you placed your order, she is the only one who listens in on the drive thru conversation clearly. (She is the one who is usually at the drive thru counter)…

You can’t expect too much. The food will look nothing like the ads. Generally it’s good to have the management/​ownership working, but they’re rude here. Service with a scowl. Was told substitution for curly fries was x. Saw my receipt said y. Told the manager working the register this, and she just gave a flippant «oh the price went up.»

Wanted a quick breakfast sandwich
Got a combo meal instead with coffee and other sides.
Service was slow. Had to repeat my order multiple times
My food is only warm
Place wasn’t that clean. Very dirty. This was early in the am

Stopped here at 405 am as one of the only late night options. was told they couldn’t take my order. Poor choice to divert my destination here.

The cheese isn’t even melted and the fries are burnt. The bread is nondescript, the proportions are all off, everything’s wrong. At least the lettuce and tomatoes fresh. The doesn’t fill the existential void but it’ll do in a nihilistic pinch.

this is the worst place to go to… oh my gosh horrible customer service. i wanted a cup of water in the drive they and they wanted me to come inside to get it… then i go to KFC right next door and they were glad to get me that!

A whole lot of employees cursing at each other. Workers standing around not taking orders. Chaos!

I was a victim of identity theft here at this Jack-​in-​the-​Box. On the rare occasion that I go to Jack-​in-​the-​Box for an iced coffee, I find out a month later that my credit card information had been stolen there. Please beware of using credit cards at this restaurant.

For a jack in the crack, this one takes the cake! Fast drive thru, and the meals they prepared were scrumptious! Sometimes it dwindles a bit the later you go, but midnight last night… fourth meal was upon us.
I got the new breakfast burrito, man was it huge! I also got two breakfast jacks and a jumbo jack. All worth it, but after eating the burrito and one breakfast Jack I was stuffed!
So far, best Jack in the box drive thru that I’ve ever been to!

This was very nostalgic to me.
During my high school years in a NYC suburb, we had a Jack in the Box restaurant that was a bit of a local hangout. We usually ended up there most weekend nights, and one memorable Sunday morning, I remember making a breakfast run for a dozen or so «Breakfast Jacks» to bring back to our campsite.
But then Jack in the Box closed, and the closest one to where I now live in Connecticut is 603.67 Miles away in Statesville, NC, according to their website. So I haven’t been in a JIB in decades.
Being in California for a few days, I just had to make a nostalgic pilgramage to a Jack In the Box.
Brought the family here for lunch today. It was a novelty for them. It was a nostalgic trip for me.
I had two tacos for the crazy ridiculous price of $ 0.99.
Damn, they were good too !!

Fast and friendly service I will admit and the good is as good (bad?) as any other Jack In The Box, but when there’s no soap to be found in the restroom, I am concerned about not just my personal hygiene, but also that of the people preparing my food. For this reason alone, I am hesitant to give more than 2 stars.

Seriously, one of the best fast food windows that I drive through on the regular. Yes, on the regular. My shameful secret has been revealed.
Over the last couple of years, the 3^rd Street JITB in San Mateo has been there for me through good and bad. It’s one of the very few drive-thru’s within a 20 mile radius, between B-​game and Belmont. Even the McDonald’s on El Camino and 92 requires you to park the vehicle, get out and give your order inside. What’s the point?
But I digress, they’ve never gotten my order wrong. Never! It could be that I get the same thing every time… Bacon and Cheddar Potato Wedges with sour cream, Spicy Chicken Sandwich w/​a little packet of Ranch. And sometimes there’s an orange Fanta or a milkshake thrown in at the last minute. Always consistently good, too!
Mad props to my fast food peeps in San Mateo! Keep up the good work!

I just want to say, thank you, to all the hard working folks here at Jack in the crack.
You have to deal with obnoxious, drunk, ghetto, hyphy, annoying jerks, day in and (night) out.
THANK YOU, for always getting our order right, HOT and greastastic!
I really do absolutely hate myself the next day but I have so much respect for an establishment that caters to the masses in such a customer focused fashion.

The drive thru service here is subpar, as James has managed to butcher my order, even while I repeated it about 4 times.
Over the last couple of visits, the 3^rd Street Jack In the Box in San Mateo has super convenient for me, especially when I have such a time crunch in my schedule. It’s one of the very few drive-thru’s within a 10 mile radius of TPumps that I’ll willingly take a chance in. The few drive thrus near here always forget some part of my order and don’t do anything nor offer to fix it when brought up. In fact, when they run out of things, this Jack In the Box offers me something while I wait for my adjusted order to be finished and they offer great customer service!
But I digress, they’ve never gotten my order wrong, except the last time I came. Always consistently good tasting tacos, too! They’re never to greasy or oily, so it makes a difference.
