Chuck is a miracle worker. I had a nightmare of an experience buying a used truck (the experience was the nightmare, not so much the car), but the thing did come with a spotted past — an aftermarket sunroof. The sunroof track leaked like a colander which ruined the headliner in this truck.
Chuck not only fixed the headliner and did a beautiful job, but he chased down the leak too and remedied that problem as well.
For anyone coming to him for the first time, he will likely have a few weeks’ wait before he can see you, but his skill is second to none and the wait is totally worth it. If I could give extra stars I would. Highly recommended

Open, flexible, independent: an open air cabriolet gives us a long-​term relationship with air. If you own a new or vintage automobile, Chuck is the mastermind for interior restoration as well as exterior roofs and lining. If you walk into the shop at any time, you will see some prized masterpieces being restored to better than new condition. I am ever so thankful to have him restore my air cooled Porsche 911, which I purchased in 2006 from Hollywood film director J J Abrams with only 18,000 miles. Chuck is an expert for any Porsche 911 or vintage collector car restoration.

I worked with Chuck at Jack’s. I went in to have the perforated leather seats in my car replaced. He’s just down the street from the DMV. He has a shop full of gorgeous cars on which he’s down some beautiful work.
Chuck worked at finding the perfect color and perforation match for my torn up car seats. He ordered the leather and when it came in he called me to bring in my car. Now, it looks like new. The craftsmanship is impeccable!

My girl had a droopy top and the boys at Nissan couldn’t help. They sent me to see Chuck at Jack’s Auto Top. Who would have known that it was just what the doctor ordered?
I pulled up on a busy Friday afternoon and walked in though the door expecting to enter an office, but found myself standing in the middle of a shop packed full of beautiful cars. I waited only a moment before Chuck peaked his head up over the dash of a fully restored ancient beauty. I told him my girl’s top was sagging and he dropped his top to help me out. He spent about 20 minutes trying this and that until he found just the right thing to shore up my girl’s droop. Cost? Free. He said it only took him a few minutes and was an easy fix. I tried to pay him, but he refused.
Before he left I wanted to get his opinion on dying my suede side doors and he told me it would be too expensive. Clean it instead. Chuck saved me a lot of money all around!
Yet another honest car genius. I’m thinking about what cars I can take to him for a paying gig. Either way, Chuck will get my business and anyone else I can send his way! Kisses Chuck!

Chuck is THE MAN!!!
When I first moved up to the bay area, my convertible had a HUGE slash across the top — Chuck not only drove me home after I dropped my car off (I lived in Foster City at the time) but gave me a great deal. The turn around was quick, the work was impeccable, and he was very approachable.
My convertible got slashed AGAIN shortly before I moved to Palo Alto and I took my car here again — he again provided excellent customer service with a quick turn around.
Everytime I go in, I see that Chuck does restoration work on classic cars and they look great.
