Johnny is wonderful! I can’t say enough good things about him. We’ve used him both for a remodel of a school as well as a lot of home work including two big projects. His bid came in right on time and he sat down with me and explained it all. The project went according to plan and finished exactly on time. The work is simply beautiful and very well done. When there were unforeseen discoveries (both projects were working on 100+ year old homes), he was upfront and very clear about what could be done. He even did a few things himself «just because it was the right thing to do» (his words). He is incredibly responsive whenever we have a little thing to adjust etc. Most importantly though, Johnny is extremely honest– a true man of character– you can trust him and his guys are all great. I have five young children and the guys were all wonderful to have around and very responsible about cleaning up at the end of the day and making sure dangerous items were put away.

Johnny came to view our space and I gave him the plans for remodel that our architect drew up so he can formulate a quote.
Simple right? Nope.
I then emailed, called and texted him at least 12 times with no response (this in a 4 week span mind you) — he even once told me «oops I traveled to Ireland for a week, sorry…» so he responded he was back from traveling, but still couldn’t provide a quote!
I even emailed him and asked him just to reply to let me know if he was not interested.
Nothing.
So I guess he is good if you can get him to actually do the job. Bummer.

Johnny is a fantastic man to hire! He did a kitchen re model for me and it came out beautiful! Not only was it exactly what I was looking for he was fast, efficient and had tons of great ideas. He is also very pleasant to work with and has a great sense of humor. I would definitely hire Johnny and his crew again!

Johhny is a great find. He remodeled our bathroom, put in new windows including rebuilding the wall around them, did some structural work in the basement and garage, and a number of minor jobs. He had excellent communication: always told (and showed) us very quickly what he had found, what the options were, pricing, etc. He has good quality subcontractors, is very price-​conscious, and very pleasant to be around. He is highly responsive, call him any time and he’ll be there. I strongly recommend Lenihan construction for big and small jobs.

Johnny and his crew are really great. His prices are very competitive and basically there is no drama with him. He’s honest, gives you a quote, does what he says, and then finishes on time. He’s very nice to get along with (thick Irish accent). He’s a local family man and his crew did the paint job on our house (which had significant prep work), total bathroom remodel and countless other smaller jobs around the house. He doesn’t nickel and dime you for little stuff either. We had other contractors do some other jobs before we met Johnny, and now we’re 100% with him. He’s just basically a cut above the rest. His crew cleans up really well before they leave and they basically treat our house like their house (I had to stop them from putting my toiletries back into a bathroom cabinet they had hung in exacly the same places they were before). He did work at other houses in the neighborhood and that’s how we got referred to him — everyone had nothing but nice things to say about him.

Johnny started by doing some minor work and ended doing a significant remodel for us as well as overseeing other contractors. He does great work and has an attention to detail you rarely find. I would strongly recommend him for all your work, big and small.

Hired John for some minor exterior repairs to house. He got back quickly, arranged to do it promptly and one here was efficient in wrapping the work as soon as possible. I thought he was quite reasonable.
