Not gonna lie. One of the best tacos I’ve had in the bay area. My husband and I ordered some cabeza & lengua tacos. They served a generous amount of meat & it was flavorful. I love that the price is not bad & it was worth the drive. Another good thing about them is they’re open late! Yummy! I’m definitely coming back to eat everything from this menu haha.

This is quite easily my favorite taqueria. About as far North as you can go on B street in San Mateo, is a tiny little block with all kinds of restaurants and stores. On a whim, I wanted a burrito for breakfast one morning, so my wife and I went exploring in Downtown San Mateo. I did not want a «breakfast» burrito, but more-so had a desire for a dinner for breakfast scenario. Luckily, I picked Los Primos Taqueria. It’s a no frills restaurant. You sit down, you order whatever you want off the menu, or in some cases traditional dishes like chilaquiles, which are not listed. This is how you know you are in a good taqueria, ordering items that aren’t on the menu, and they end up being fantastic. They also have a pretty extensive selection of drinks, as well as my personal favorite, horchata. I took a buddy of mine from out of town there last week, and we ordered three to four tacos, and I got my usual beef tongue burrito. The woman working there was super friendly, and was able to alter our orders based off how spicy we wanted something. I absolutely love their chips and salta, as well as their entrees. My tongue burrito was nice and spicy, well cooked, and full of tasty extras. The salsa they bring out with their chips goes well on literally anything. If you want inexpensive, high quality food you need to swing by Los Primos Taqueria.

More people need to know about this location. Great food and the lowest prices in San Mateo for Mexican dining. This is your typical«hole in the wall» Mexican restaurant — authentic, wide variety menu, and cheap beers! I always have the carne asada tacos or Burrito which contain lots of meat. They are very generous with their portions — very different from the other downtown San Mateo locations.

I’ve never had something here that I didn’t like. The burritos are HUGE(that’s my forearm in one of the Los Primos pictures) and everything always seems very fresh. My only wish is that the guacamole was nice and chunky versus a watery green sauce. it also seems great that they have fresh carrot juice but those machines definitely attract flies that love to buzz around you while you wait to pay at the register… but small price to pay for absolutely yummy, fresh and inexpensive burritos & tacos. I can’t wait to try more things from their menu! Yum yum yum.

The best Mexican food in San Mateo, hands down. Better than Pancho Villa. Yes really. I have yet to find something I don’t like here. Fish tacos and shrimp tacos are the BEST. The staff is so friendly and the chips/salsa/warm peppers they bring out are soooo good. Nice touch Los Primos. Get a Michelada!

I love their carne asada tostada! They give lots of meat and they are filling! The green guac sauce is good too!

My favorite burrito spot. I always get the super carne asada burrito and theres something inside the burrito that takes like bacon meat! YUM. Burrito Thursdays are a thing now because of this spot. Cash only but the prices are pretty cheap :)

I usually get my Sunday morning breakfast burrito here and it can’t be beat. the absolute best. Chorizo and eggs after a night of drinking does the trick. The kicker is the grilled onions and jalapenos. Delish. As down home as it can get. You got to give it a try when in San Mateo.
