This is a great Panda Express. Be sure to stop by for a quick meal if you get hungry while you’re shopping at HSC.

Everywhere I go Panda Express is known by their friendly service and happy smiley faces of their employees but not at this location. First girl was nice and friendly but small lady at the register doesn’t have an attitude. Food was alright not that fresh.

One of the worst places to eat Chinese food in San Mateo/Foster City. I thought I’ve eaten here a long time ago out of convenience when shopping and it was ok. Must have changed hands or gotten worse. Plenty of places to eat in this area or within the mall so no need to subject yourself to this!

This is the worst panda express I’ve been to. They never fill out my plate right. They’re so cheap! I literally got 3 pieces of walnut shrimps once.

Kristel and sophia were great. Customer service was nice. The food was average. Just like any Panda Express or any food chain. Will be back if I’m in the area. Thank you girls for the customer service.

The best option at this food court if you ask me. I will admit that I love PE and was happy to see them here. It might be mass produced and ubiquitous and I am glad they are. Orange chicken and chow mein please.

The lady serving the food was really friendly and offered me multiple samples when she saw I couldn’t decide what to get. I stuck with the classic chicken mushroom and the beef broccoli. Overall the food was probably not too healthy but tasted great for sub $ 8.

Whatever you do… do not order the Eggplant Tofu. I made the mistake of making it one of my entrees the other day and TOFU was totally overcooked, tough and as rubbery as the soles on work boots. Seriously I could barely bite through it. Horrible…

I just had the worst experience of my life took 30 minutes out of my hour lunch break to go over to the mall just to get some beef and broccoli I asked for two pieces of broccoli and the rest to be beef I prefer more beef and broccoli I think most people would agree with me the gentleman the cook came out and told me no I just walked away it was ridiculous I went back and asked why I asked why I couldn’t pay for it she said the portion sizes have to be the same I said if I’m willing to pay for it you’re not willing to change the portion sizes for me she said she would ask the cook when did the cook become the boss of the restaurant I work in two different restaurants and I’ve never ever had the cook be in charge maybe on a power trip an think they are but they’re not. will never go back

Have been served fried rice with dry/hard grains in it twice in last four to five visits or so. This place needs to ensure the basics are covered. Everything else is done well, except for a fair number of rice issues.

I used to love coming to Panda for my Chinese food fix since they didn’t offer any pork on their menu. I have since boycotted them until recently since I learned that the mall location didn’t serve the bacon orange chicken. I was elated and was going to throw panda back into my rotation of out-food. When we went the other night we learned that they only temporarily didn’t offer it during December and have now brought it back. Bacon doesn’t belong in Chinese food. As long as they serve that crap I’ll be sure to patronize other places.

Great proportions for the price. Food was fresh and the staff were incredibly friendly.

I am a fan of Panda Express … great food for the price. My office recently moved from Burlingame to San Mateo. I have visited the Hillsdale location about four times now and every time I vow not to go back. This place is so horribly run it’s beyond belief. Always a long line and slow service. One day after waiting in line for ten minutes, I ordered a side and some post stickers. They put the stickers in the box and then told me the orange chicken would be ready in 12 minutes. Today, they didn’t have pot sticker sauce. They usually have two people waiting on people and only one cashier. The manager rarely checks out front to see what is happening. I think a new manager is in order!

I eat here pretty often and for what it is, it’s pretty good. The staff, except for one woman, is always friendly and they usually give very generous portions, this location is far superior to some others I have been to.

For the price and quantity it’s pretty good, but in this location I hate the rice, it’s never well done, you can find raw rice in there and break your teeth. I don’t think they’re gonna pay for my teethe if they would break. I ate better in other of their locations.

Ate here for lunch with a coworker. We both ordered the same thing, chow mein, orange chicken, and spicy beef. Once getting back to the office we realized our mistake. Now, 9 hours later, I’m sitting on the toilet waiting for the next purge. I want to go to bed goddammit! My legs are asleep and I’m going to have to scrub the toilet tomorrow. F you Panda. Never again.

Americanized Chinese fast-food in the mall The food court doesn’t offer a plethora of choices, so I guess Panda Express will have to do. Been to one Panda Express, been to them all. It’s not cheap, it’s not great, it’s not bad, but it’s good enough when you need to eat something, fast. Especially if you’re asian or craving something similar and need to get your carb/soy sauce fix. I like half-and-half chow mein and fried rice for my side dish. And the overly popular orange chicken yet they still offer you samples of it as if you’ve never tried it before. My only gripe is the super shady mini-portions. I ordered a 2-item for myself, not a 2-item for a baby. I can eat way more than that, especially when I’m sharing. THEYNEEDTOLEARNHOWTOHOOKITUP!!! 3 stars for so-so food and so-so service.

Panda is bomb and always has been. Half and half chow and rice, orange chicken, and something else. Cherry lemonade from hot dog on a stick. Done Deal. As far as mall chinese food goes, panda is #1.

I would occasionally eat Panda Express before I discovered the delicious, amazing teriyaki bowl at the Japanese food court spot. I still fantasize about that rice bowl and it’s been years since I’ve had one! The Panda is too greasy and gooey in my opinion… it’s nice to get a fortune cookie with your lunch but not worth eating not-so-yummy food for!
