I came here to have my hair highlighted and showed a picture of exactly how I wanted it. Blondish natural looking highlights. I came out with STREAKED hair like a Zebra that clashed with my natural dark hair… I looked like Rouge from X-Men. I told her I didn’t like it and that I think she should fix it, the lady, «Hanna» said that I will grow into them and kept insisting that I didn’t want what I wanted. A stylist should NEVER have a customer leave the door with hair they hate. I paid $ 90 to have my hair look GOOD. I am coming back in this week to get it fixed. Hopefully they have another stylist who can fix it otherwise, I will never come back. They also DONOT accept credit cards.

Anh, the owner of the salon has been doing my hair for 10 years. She’s cut it, styled it for proms, and seen my highlights changed different shades throughout that decade! Sadly, I’ve cheated on her in the past with a box of Loreal dye and a bad cut from Tangerine Salon in SJ that resulted in major split ends in a couple days. There are times where I’m not sure if my highlights look too light at the salon, but when I get home I love it and get so many compliments. She knows what’s up and what looks good on you. The salon is simple and kind of outdated, but as long as your hair looks good and it’s clean(which it is) then it doesn’t matter! Picasso is in a convenient location with ample parking and her services are priced reasonably. If you’re aching for a hair cut or a new hair color I highly recommend Anh.

Inge is great! Very friendly and honest. She helped me acheive my goal(with lots of hard work) Platinum Blonde!

Hello! Okay, about six years ago… NO! Maybe it is now seven years ago… Or, was it six??? Humm… Nevermind… I have been a long-term client of Sasi one of the great stylists who works at Picasso Hair Studio off 37th Ave in San Mateo. I like the fact that Picasso is always clean, friendly, clean, CLEAN and oh ya… Friendly! But besides being all of that I like the convenience of being able to schedule appointments(in your face not-so«SuperCuts») but also the flexibility of usually getting same day service when needed. Now, besides Sasi who is my stylist, there are several great stylists in there, and Annie who does nails(sorry ladies, can’t review Annie, since I’m a guy and have not had my nails done… yet). So, since so far(as of Feb 27, 2009) I’ve recommended to you where to get your car fixed or the oil changed(Richard’s Auto), then, get a bite to eat(JENJON and /or Thai Satay), believe me you won’t regret getting your locks off at Picasso(or just get ‘em colored or curled)! As always… your buddy, — Eric

Sasi at that salon is the best! She knows what is the best hair cut for you and does an awesome job styling your hair. You will never believe that your hair can look so healthy and shiny! She charges 70 dollars for both hair cut and color, and also colors my eye brows and waxes them(all for $ 70). She massages the neck while shampooing your hair. I would recommend her to any friend. Listen to her, though, when you choose your hair color. Once, I insisted on the color I wanted and it turned out terrrible. But she was willing to recolor right then and there for FREE. I usually tell her to do whatever she wants with the cut, and every time, it is a little bit diffferent, but she has never dissapointed me! Absolutely, love this place!
