Starbucks

So Im a Starbucks regular and Im the first to say that this is my regular spot. Kimmie and Candy are adorable and they always make me feel welcomed. They even recommended waiting a couple minutes so a new pot can be brewed. Who does that? They do. Were all winners here. Winning!!!

I’m not sure if this Starbucks is individually owned or part of the store. Either way, the rude customer service is contagious; from the store to the Starbucks. I got my basic iced black coffee and went groceries shopping– overpriced for the same type of food you’ll find at Safeway or Wal-​Mart. It was only out of convenience that I decided to shop here. Associates at the store– no thank yous, no hi or hello, and everyone had a grumpy face.
On my way out, I went to the same Starbucks for a refill using my gold card on my phone. The same girl that was helping me rolled her eyes at me for getting a refill. Uhh, why? It’s part of being a Starbucks gold card holder benefit. On top of that, you usually take the lid off your cup for the refill. I left it on as my hands were full with groceries. She barked at me to remove it myself. I had to leave all my groceries on the ground and counter to do so when she could’ve done it herself for me. Talk about «going the extra mile» to help out a customer… Non-​existent here!
Won’t be coming back to this location! Rude and unhelpful staffs!
Added: I also felt rushed to pick up all my groceries from the ground as she started yelling over me to take a new customer’s order. Really!!!

Boy this place sure went downhill after the new manager took over a couple of weeks ago. This Starbucks is definitely not service oriented anymore. The old manager Mari made sure that her and her employees got you all the drinks you wanted how you wanted them and got them right every time. The new manager has made it a point to argue with the customers when they order a drink and to tell him she will not make them like that anymore. She is a true disgrace to the Starbucks name and Piazzas Fine Foods I have spoken to some customers that go there at the time and day I go and they find her totally appalling. Guess it’s time to find a new coffee shop.

Love this place. Staff is really friendly and the drinks are always so much better here than the other Starbucks locations I’ve visited. Staff seems like they all really enjoy each other’s company and get along great — makes for a smooth transaction on the customer side.

I’ve been coming here, everyday for almost four years. This is by far the best starbucks in San Mateo and better than most of the other starbucks i’ve encountered in the bay area.
Before going on, its worth mentioning… this is a Starbucks counter in Piazza’s supermarket. If you’ve ever been to a Starbucks in a safeway, you know the kind of differences that exist between counters and official stores. All the drinks are the same, gift cards are accepted… but unlike official stores, technical support is not as readily available. There is only one expresso machine… so if anything goes wrong with the technical elements, it takes a little longer to get fixed.
The best you say. Yes. The Baristas here are always focused on the customers. Ever been to a Starbucks and had to wait to order because the four people behind the desk are doing their assigned tasks? This doesnt happen here, all baristas are forward facing and dedicated to turning out orders. See a long line? That line is going to get taken care of quickly. I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a drink, even when the line is back to the door. Mari, Tina and their crack team are friendly and fast. I consider myself to be lucky to be a regular at this place.
Thank you for an amazing four years! Oh and for some reason this is the best mocha, consistently. I’ve been to many different starbucks and ordered the same drink… These guys not only get it right everytime, but it tastes better than other stores, where sometimes the mocha tastes awful at times.

Best Starbucks ever! The staff is very friendly and always get your drinks right! Place gets busy but flows fast, they have great Batista’s. From what I’ve seen they are the best in the West. Thank you guys.

The last 3 times I’ve come here either all they could make you was coffee bc something was broken or their computers were down so they could only take cash. Not to mention coffee next to the seafood counter is not the biz! Last time here. Clean it up!

I’ve been here twice in the past couple of months, and both times I’ve gotten very pleasant, fast service. It’s a warm sunny Saturday afternoon, and I’m enjoying my umbrella-​shaded table out front and free internet (the password is written on the «window» where you pick up your drink).

Dear Starbucks and piazza management,
I would like to tell you that your staff is wonderful and I also would like to tell you the comment posted below about your barista Daniella posted by the asshole named STACK A. Is complete invaild. She has always been friendly and personable and helpful in any way to me as well as all your staff with there bright smiling faces. It is my personal opinion that they are always laughing and working well together! I think Stack A IS A HUGE ASSHOLE AND DESERVES FOR SOMEONE TO TREAT HIM AS SUCH! Maybe that’s why she was a MEGA BITCH TO HIM. I don’t know if Starbucks or piazzas management plans to find out who this customer is or not but his language and threatening tone create a hostile work environment for that Daniella and all your staff I think you should refuse service to him and make you work environment safe for ALL YOUR Pleasant and happy employees.

I’ve been here simply out of convenience and yes, I can admit that’s my fault. I’ve been holding off on this review to give the Superbitch whose always on duty here a chance. At first I thought maybe she’s just having a rough day. Turns out, every single time I go here it’s this woman’s time of the month.
Hello Danielle, We can here the way you talk to everyone you work with behind the counter. It’s rude and customers don’t appreciate a hostile barista who thinks she knows it all. Second, when a customer asks how you are doing, be thankful, most customers don’t give a rats ass how you are. I know working at a coffee shop sux, but that’s not really the customers problem. It’s not your co-​workers problem either. Don’t act like making a coffee or taking someone’s order is such an enormous task for you. If it’s such a hassle, get another job or just go away. Too many times I’ve been in here and noticed your massive ego stomping around as if you’re the hottest chick on block. Got news for ya, you’re not. Straighten up your act or next time it will get real.

This is my favorite Starbucks. The entire staff is friendly and efficient, & they have the smallest area to work in.

Hmmm I’ve been here a couple times and it’s been fine. Similar of other in store Starbucks. But today I came and ordered a soy sugar free vanilla latte only to be told that they can’t make a sugar free vanilla latte. Apparently vanilla is sugar and not just a flavor/​spice… So the drink I’ve been ordering forever is a myth…

Simply rude, yet convenient location perhaps. 1) poor customer service and the attitude of the espresso gal 2) consistantly overcharging 3) do not honor your Starbucks membership.
Better to drive down the street to the Starbucks off of De Anza or El Camino.

The worst nonfat vanilla latte I have ever had from Starbucks. It tastes watery and old!!! I want my $ back!

I was so hyped up for a delicious perfect Cappuccino to start off my morning, but this place was a no no. I am not sure about their other drinks, but their Cappuccino is terrible. I ordered a Grande. When it was ready, the paper grande cup felt SUPER light. And of course I can’t tell how much was in there because the top was filled with foam, but there was probably only ¹⁄₃ of actual Cappuccino liquid in it. BOO. Not to mention the flavor didn’t taste right.
I think I’ve had much better Cappuccino in my life. This was a total disappointment. Also, the place is located inside Piazza’s Fine Foods, so there are barely any tables and chairs.
Service was okay, but I don’t think i’ll trust myself to get anything here again.

I hardly ever go to Starbucks and if I do I always get the carmel apple spice (I’m not a coffee fan.) I like this Starbucks because the staff is really friendly, it’s right across the street from my work and they are pretty quick when getting my drink to me. It doesn’t seem to get as busy as the bigger Starbucks and I like that because when I’m at work I don’t have time to wait in a long line, I’m always in and out of here fast.

Pretty standard Starbucks. I only frequent this place cuz it’s close to CSM and the baristas are usually pretty nice.
The biggest downside is that it smells like raw meat here since it’s next to the meat section.

This little grocery Starbucks always has great service when I go in. It’s teeny tiny as it’s not a full-​size Starbucks but located in the front of a Piazzas grocery store. They are always friendly and fast — I appreciate this a LOT!
And I was able to find my bearista bear there after it being sold out in the full size Starbucks by my house :)
