They make rice pupusas! They are so delicious and the workers were so nice to me. I’m coming back for sure.

This place is amazing the bread is super good and fresh and I just love how clean it is! The bread has a good price I mean your paying for good Quilty and there is not much foo place around here. They have everything you can possibly want. The people there are always nice and get you out the door right away and this place is always full. So you know they have the good stuff! I totally recommend this place!

Came here because I was walking my dog around the area and it smelled delicious. At first I was really excited as everything looked so good! Unfortunately once I waited in line for what seemed forever, the old man with the reading glasses and hat refused to sell me a pastry because it was only 60 cents and I only had $ 20.00. He then asked me to at least purchase $ 1.50 I said«no» and almost walked out until a customer behind me changed my $ 20.00. Finally when I got my pastry it was dry and had no flavor. Horrible customer service!

I wish the name for this place mentioned Salvadoran food/RESTAURANT!!! I have never noticed the bakery part; we go to the restaurant whose big windows face onto San Pablo, and the pupusas are fabulous! For anyone who doesn’t know pupusas, they are hand-made, filled thick corn or rice dough patties, with really good cheese or cheese and meat inside, then grilled until all is hot and melted – absolutely delicious! I prefer the rice version which you ask for specially; it is nice and chewy and the fillings taste so great, YUM! Pupusas are traditionally served with a cabbage slaw which is a nice accompaniment. Server is really friendly too. They have just re-done their menu, and most dishes shown are combo plates but we still order just pupusas and a plate of divine fried plantain/bananas with black beans and cream – total heaven! Suzie – get a sign that says RESTAURANT– pupusas, etc. so the gringos will know what you have!

The pan Frances from this place is awesome. They have a lot of pan dulce variety and it tasted super good. My only complaint is the price, it’s a little pricey.

Great and authentic salvadoran bread. They have a variety of different breads. My favorite is the yummy cupcake. They are nice and warm and delicious. They even sell drinks, chips, and cakes which are great. The people are nice and the bread is a great price !

I love this place! It’s so clean the bread is always fresh. The pan frances is amazing! They sell pan con pollo, tamales de pollo, elote, pisque & puerco. Everything is made in the bakery, so it’s always fresh. & it’s also cheat. I’ve compared the price from the local stores nothing beats this bakery’s place. Give them a try you’ll keep doing back! The best Salvadoran place in the Bay Area! I give it 100,000,000,000 stars! So amazing!!!

Sergio the Food Server was a great addition, he’s very attentive when ordering, check w/you at least 2 twice if every thing is okay, coffee request etc etc. the breakfast is a wow, i just love it, dont get tired of ordering, however is getting to be noisy radio, tv, guitarist singing, and people talking loud imaging all of that at the same time while your eating breakfast early morning.

The WORSTWORST excuse for El Salvadorian food I’ve ever had in my life! Even the crappy taco stand on 23rd is better! My honey and I walked in and had to seat ourselves because no one even acknowledged that we walked in. Sat down for a couple minutes, our waiter came over and took our order. We got:(1 order) Ceviche tostadas,(1) Asada taco,(1) Super asada burrito, and(1) Horchata. The food super long to come out and they had no type of condiments on the table. Nor did they give us any chips and salsa. I asked for Tapitio hot sauce and they took long to give that to me too. Seems very unorganized and nothing was ready. The food came out very plan. — Ceviche Tostada: Not much shrimp nor fish, lots of veggies not worth 10.99 — Asada Taco: Small and very plan. No real flavor. The menu said 1.60 each I got charged 5.75 or that could have been for the horchata which is still ridiculous because the horchata was NASTY! — Super Burrito: Did not look super size. The rice was mushy. The meat had no flavor. Green salsa that it came with sucked too. I am NEVER returning! Come here if you want to be disappointed. Sorry but I don’t play when it comes to my food. I expect good service and good food. I got neither of those today. $ 28 for all that is wayyyy too much. Well… probably wouldn’t frequent this establishment again. Bakery portion is CASH only which I didn’t realize. So I am here waiting for what feels like forever at the attached restaurant for tacos just so I could meet the $ 10 minimum for the credit card machine. Turned into an expensive, time consuming trip for a pastry or two. Pastries are good enough… but no signs indicating what each thing is and staff really couldn’t explain to me what they were… my Spanish is no bueno. Hopefully the tacos I didn’t want are good. :/

Susy’s Bakery and Deli is a modern, clean looking bakery. from the looks of the offerings, it’s discernible they make salvadorean and mexican pastries. no labels, prices shown. was told they were .50, $ 1, etc. slightly higher than the fruitvale eats: 3 small buns/$ 1 –very fresh, melt in ur mouth. –wouldn’t hesitate to buy some if in the ‘hood. crumbs: –fast, friendly service –coffee«superior» passed. –wide variety of baked items. –lots of parking in lot.

I love this place! The empanadas are just amazing, and I must disagree with the some of the reviewers below, the staff is always very welcoming and come on people this people are nothing but nice I can’t believe you even mentioned racism. Anyways the cakes are also amazing especially the tres leches one. If you ever have a question about what type of pastry it is just ask. I love this place I’m about to preorder some empanadas for my party tomorrow!

This place SUCKS! Big time. We came two times before we decided to order our Wedding cake and finally the manager said the guy that makes the cakes will be on vac. I wonder why a BAKERY can’t make our cake… or could it be because we are two lesbians. Discrimination is still alive.

Love Mexican/Hispanic pastries, but wish I knew what each one tasted like so I don’t look like a fool asking what they taste like and what’s good(cause they’re always going to tell me everything tastes good!). Tough decisions! Some information tag for each pastry would have been helpful.

Great place!!! I don’t mind coming all da way from HAYWARD, we need something like this in my area. This is real Salvadorian pastry. — Pastry is ALWAYS fresh. — Pan con pollo SUPERGOOD!!! Only thing I wish da staff was a little more friendly. Every time I’ve been here they always seem annoyed. Like I’m afraid to even ask a question =\.

Yum! The staff at the front are so friendly. :) A plus for any mom/pop shop. Their pastries are good… I’m kinda used to the light, airy tastes of Chinese bakery goods, but the ones here are definitely worth a try. The pastries are a little heavy, but not really sugary so it balances out. I liked their pineapple pastry. They also have really cute looking cookies.

A true Salvadorean Bakery! Yes the staff is outstanding and very helpful and friendly. The bread is always fresh and best of all they have ALL the Salvadorean pastries one can think of. I wished this placed open long time ago because its well needed. This place offers turkey sandwiches salvadorean style, tamales and refried beans from El Salvador. I really feel at home in a very clean place!!! I truly recommend this place and it doesn’t matter where you’re from you’ll have to try it for yourself. The taqueria will be open soon… I can’t wait!

I love this little bakery. The staff is super helpful, knowledgable and accomodating. I’ve ordered a cake here(wedding style cake for an 85th birthday), and I’ll review on that later after I’ve tried it. Their pastelitos de leche are my favorite. A yummy pastry filled with a custard. They also have pineapple, apple, prune, and other varieties of the same pastry. They have fruit tarts, cheesecake, breads, sandwiches(which I haven’t tried but they ALWAYS smell delicious) and sooo much more. Everything is delicious and fresh. They’re putting tables and chairs in next month! Yipee! The only downside is that they only take cash. =(
