Arco & AMPM

It’s a gas station. Located down the hill on where Channel and Gaffey meet right before entering the Vincent Thomas Bridge or the Harbor freeway. It’s convenient. It’s Arco, so price wise, it’s cheaper than Chevron across the street. I come here because gas is expensive and for those days I don’t want to drive all the way to Costco. Anyway, this place can get pretty packed because apparently many people have my same thought process. Have patience, know that sometimes drivers are inconsiderate and just end up positioning their vehicles in the most inefficient ways. Well, that may just be a gripe of mine.
Anyway, that’s that. I figured I should write a review since I received the dutchess crown for this place recently…

Stopped by to get gas this morning and grab a coffee.
As far as cleanliness, they should have 0 stars. Cappuccino machine was broken, had old dirty rags on it and stuff. I grabbed a cup to get a regular coffee instead and when I approached the table to get my creamer and Splenda, it was filthy. Open used condiment wrappers everywhere, creamer had been spilled and not cleaned up, it was just gross. So I just left without any coffee.
The only reason this review gets 2 stars is because the gas prices are the cheapest in that area. Today reg was $ 3.49 mid was $ 3.59 and high was $ 3.69. Not to bad.
My opinion is to grab gas and go, the inside of the store needs to be cleaned up.

Worst service ever!

This place is filthy! And the people who hang out around here are really f’ing scary. Yet, I still come here because it’s cheaper than the Chevron across the way.
I’m not shitting you, I was once approached, while pumping gas, by a guy who looked homeless, was covered from head to toe in dirt, eyes boggling out in different directions, asking me if I had a «number.» I think that was his vagrant way of asking me if he could have MY number. But what the hell! I doubt that dude could even afford a phone! He probably stands outside asking for change and then goes to 7 – 11 and buys one of those «pay per use» phones to stalk and rape women. I’m pretty sure I saw him emerge from, and go back into, a rapist van parked along the street.
I wouldn’t eat anything from here… not that you should EVER eat gas station food, but I’m saying, maybe not even a bottled water. Seriously, this place is a total dump.

Arco = cheap gas. That is all.

Dirtiest am/​pm around. Period. Dark inside, cashiers with stink eyes… ya, no!
