Had lunch at the Omelette and Waffle Shop today. I ordered the Salmon Melt with Sweet Potato fries(without the chilies or jalapeño) — it was seriously one of the best sandwich melts I ever had. Compliments to the chef !!!

We are not in this area too often but we were on our way to a botanical garden and decided to stop at Omelette & Waffle Shop for some breakfast. This breakfast joint seems and feels really old school with their vintage décor and fantastic service. I have to say right up front that their menu is really overwhelming. I mean we are talking 15 different kinds of waffles on top of 50+ different kinds of omelets AND a weekly special menu. It is kind of insane. We spent a good chunk of time trying to decide what to eat but eventually settled on the Hawaiian Bread French Toast and the Leslie Omelet. The omelet came with your choice of bread and we ordered the biscuit and gravy. I was sort of disappointed with our biscuit because it wasn’t flaky at all! Nothing like how a biscuit should be. Granted it came out smothered in gravy but it didn’t hold up to it at all. I didn’t enjoy it too much and the gravy was also just okay. The Leslie Omelet was decent. I enjoyed their hash because it was extra crispy! The omelets are a decent size but nothing too overwhelming. They have the right amount of filling too but I wouldn’t say that they are generous with it. As for the french toast, anything made with King’s Hawaiian Bread is going to taste good. With that said I wish that I had ordered a waffle instead since I’m assuming it’s what they are known for. The french toast while tasty wasn’t anything special. Brunch is probably my favorite meal of the day so I’m a little picky when it comes to it. With that said, I think Omelette & Waffle Shop is just okay and doesn’t necessarily stand out. The service is excellent but the taste of the food is more important to me. Maybe it’s because I didn’t order a waffle but I’ll never know. 3⁄5

This place was definitely a sweet surprise. The waitress is so completely wonderful and the home made corned beef hash is probably the best I’ve ever had in Southern California. The waffles are incredible and the French toast is delicious too. This place definitely deserves 5 stars

I had the crane driver & it was to die for! When your first bite causes you to moan you know you’ve picked the right place to eat. Quick friendly service & great prices. Will not disappoint.

New favorite spot for breakfast. So good! Get«the crane driver», or any of their waffles. Don’t know who the waitress was, but she was amazing!

I have been to this amazing omelette shop twice. My husband has been a fan for many years. Sofia, was our waitress on Saturday. She was not only excellent, but her personality is so sweet. The number of omelettes plus how you can make your own, is egg heaven. The vanilla coffee is another plus. Not too many places have that option. You don’t feel rushed to eat and leave although there is always a line. If you are in the area, I recommend that you go there. BTW, they have sugar free syrup as well. I will be back.

So I saw this on Unilocal as a friend wrote a good review and I see«Waffle»… I die for waffles. So I’m like I need to try this place out! I had time to swing by for a quick breakfast. I started off with coffee and I wasn’t sure if I wanted a waffle with strawberries or a Hawaiian King French toast… So I did what I usually do when I’m indecisive… I give the choices to the waitress/waiter and have them choose. In this case she was like — why don’t I get you a Hawaiian King French toast WITH strawberry! I was like if it’s good… Definitely! First of all I have to say, when they brought this thing out, just the presentation makes me want to roll up my sleeves and dig in! But. No Jack. Take your time and kinda enjoy it! So that’s what I did and man, it was great! Everything fresh, strawberries were real! Lol I mean, it’s not the canned stuff… Made well and tastes well. What more can you ask for. Service was good too! Waitress was a sweetheart… When I’m in the area, I’ll be back for breakfast. If your around he area and haven’t been here, try it, you won’t be disappointed! Just note the following — Parking sucks! — Its small… So there may/will likely be a wait Those are the only cons I could think of… Otherwise… Go and enjoy!

The food here is great and there is a lot of options… I could almost say there are too many options… There is 95 omelets… Over all a great place to keep everyone in the group happy… The food is well made and reasonably priced. Only problem is they are often busy so it takes longer to sit, takes longer to order, and to receive your food… I would definitely recommend this place but make sure you are not in a rush.

95OMELETTES?!! And if you don’t find«Eggxactly» what you want, you can build your own! The menu may be overwhelming, but seems they can take on all of it and then some! They also have daily specials and tons of sides to go with just about everything. It’s a casual, bustling diner setting and the servers are nice and know the menu inside & out. Parking is super limited, so u may have to find street parking and walk a bit. But it’s worth a visit if you’re in the area and want a hearty breakfast. If you’re with a party, everyone’s sure to find something that meets their tasty needs here. I had one of their daily specials: Sun-dried tomato, grilled chicken, feta cheese & spinach. I thought it was a sandwich at first, but it was just that with a side of steamed veggies & my choice of sweet potato fries. That must’ve been the healthiest item on their menu & I didn’t mind it at all. The seasoning was lacking a bit, but I managed to jazz it up with their delicious salsa. Another dish I’ve enjoyed in the past was a special omelette with fresh nopales(cactus), cheese & bell peppers. I love anything with nopales! I’d like to try some of their fun sounding waffles like the Nut, Coconut Cream, or fruit waffles next time!

What a great breakfast joint! I passed by the Omelette & Waffle Shop many times on the way to my daughters basketball games in S. Pedro each time telling my self that I have to go earlier next time to try the O&WS, well finally I did and am sorry I did not do so much earlier. Went on a Sunday around 9 and let me tell you this place is JAMPACKED! No worries though I was flying solo and just bellied up to the bar. I had a cup –o-joe from the old school grinder in a min and was then left to fend for myself. Scouring over the menu of so many items breakfast was a dizzying affair as I do so much like almost anything breakfast. The options here are off the hook. I couldn’t make up my mind and almost ordered two brekkie entrees but when asking my waitress she leaned toward the green chili and eggs. Glad I had her help. If its a breakfast item from chorizo to chocolate pancakes they have it on the menu! So in like no time at all I got my food and several coffee refills. Busy or not the staff here kicks ass. My plate looked and tasted fantastic.
Overall… They have some cuti-pie waitresses so if your lonely and hungry A+ on the eye-candy for you! Especially the blonde with the bolt-on’s and the short jean shorts! This is just a bonus the food speaks for itself. The bathroom was very clean as was the bar. Service was pretty darn good too. Coffee always topped and service with a smile. Parking may be difficult during peak hours, ok it sucks. I had to walk 2 blocks but you’ll be happy you did after getting a gut full of breakfast. The walk will help your digestion. I’ll be back!

PARKING I was told there are few parking spots. We parked on the residential street next to the diner without a problem. INTERIOR/EXTERIOR Feels like those American diners you see in movies! Restaurant should catch your eye with its unique and colorful sign. Several single and booth tables as well as individual stool ones by the counter. There, you can partially see the kitchen and watch them plate your food. MENU Quite an extensive menu — so many options! Omelettes, waffles, burgers, sandwiches and more. We were starving after our hike but satisfied after our meal. A friend and I shared the Blueberry Waffles and the #44 Omelette with spinach, bacon, and pineapple. Pineapple tasted both sweet and fresh! It came with a side of either potatoes or mixed vegetables and buttered toast. The Blueberry Waffles was delightful — would definitely recommend eating them hot. The rest of our party got the Banana Nut Waffles and the Machaca Scramble with an extra side of vegetables. The entire meal feels very healthy! Portions were generous and overall, very good. SERVICE Really nice workers — order taken when ready and food delivered pippin’ hot and ready to eat. Despite finishing our meal so close to their closing time, they did not rush us with the check or tried to get us out the door! Grateful for that, and will be back the next time I am in the area.

Hearty, Healthy and generous portions — can’t go wrong with that! I was craving proteins to keep me stuffed and suffice before my Mary Poppins play at Warner Grand Theater, and decided to eat here at this cool lil Mom and Pop joint. BRINGCASH: You get a 5% off discount of $ 15.00 or more if you pay cash. On my meal, I would have paid $ 0.55 more if I paid with credit card. Known more for their humungous omelets(and Waffles too) — I ordered the same omelet that Unilocaler Alicia W., had posted. It was the egg white, sausage, cheese, avocado, and sour cream omelet with home fries. It was delicious, hearty, and it kept me energized and alert throughout the play, lol! Also served with a side of buttered wheat toasts. They also have grape and orange jams, and Skippy Peanut Butter that you can also spread onto your toasts too. I spread grape jelly on mines :) It was hella packed around 12:30pm, and I was seated within 5mins at the counter. This place is best for parties of 4 or smaller to get fast seating. Service: Even though it’s crazy hectic — the fios does take a bit to come out. I finished my toast, and waited another 10mins for my omelet to come out. The staff here is pretty cool — My waitress Sofia was awesome! She checked up on me during my meal, and was a total sweetie! Also, the manager, who had seated me was a sweetie too! Checked up on me to make sure my meal was awesome too! Even though I had water, it was constantly refilled every time — very cool! Restroom: In the back — one restroom for both sex. Parking: Only 5 dedicated parking spots and the rest of street parking. Definitely worth the come back next time in town to tryout their other dish called the Crane Driver, and their yummy fresh to made waffles too :)

This is the place to dine when you are looking for a legitimate omelette. At first glance this shop looks like your typical run of the litter diners. Might not be anything fancy but that’s not why you go out to eat unless you crave ambiance over food quality but I digress. Service seems to be all over the board according to other reviewers. After a couple of visits to this place, I have received satisfactory to great service. On Nov 1st, everyone was dressed up and themed for Day of the Dead. My wife and I received a split dish cut up nicely for us, three different servers assisted us which is surprising, and the lady in charge of running the bill was very courteous and informative about the charge between using a credit card and cash. On to the food, when I make eggs at home, I get hungry after a few hours. The same applies here. This means they use legitimate eggs, legitimate toppings, and no BS on the omelettes. It reminds you of something you can possibly make at home but with an extra«dining twist» to the dish like their homemade sauces. BTW, the Spanish sauce is their most popular according to the servers. Like tomato flavoring but with added onion and pepper savoriness. If you’re not in the mood to make your own omelette and you want something legitimate, definitely stop by here. So far I have received pretty good service. Prices are up to par on their meals and you leave feeling pretty satisfied.

Came here twice so far and both times did not disappoint. If you like omelettes and waffles, this is the place. Lots of varieties to choose from their expanded menu. One unique waffle they serve is their jalapeño and cheddar. I’m not too much into jalapeño things, but this one is great! A must try when here. Other things we tried were the coconut pineapple waffle and the chili cheese omelette. I can get pretty crowded here on the weekends, but the counter is first come, first served. It has the perfect old school charm with fast and friendly service.
