A neighbor dropped off his business card on my door step while I was purchasing my new home. I was getting several bids for all the work on the house that had to be done and included him as well.
From the moment I called, Alma was incredibly articulate and professional to book the consultation. We setup a meeting that Rudy was on-​time for. I went over all the details of the work that included new electrical re-​wiring, removal of old water heater, installation of tankless water heater, new main electrical panel, tear-​down of wall, popcorn ceiling removal, patch work, painting of the entire interior and covered patio area, refinishing of floors, installation of new fixtures, moving a few fixtures, bathroom vents, re-​layout of appliances in laundry room and movement of gas line to swap appliances in the kitchen. A lot of work. He was really great about staying on target. Rudy and his team walk you through process of pulling permits with the city of Torrance and it couldn’t be easier! He gave me a time estimate of 3 – 5 weeks. He finished all the work in 3 plus a week for the floors so I could get into the home before the school year started — Still within the time frame originally quoted.
Communication is really the key with me going with Rudy’s Service. Their estimate is incredibly detailed. You know exactly what is going to be done and/​or what’s included in the work estimate. Their paperwork is also incredibly easy to read and Alma, who works in the office was great at clarifying any questions. Rudy’s service made the process as painless as possible.
Rudy and his guys were great and I never felt uncomfortable being a single woman. With more horror stories now-​a-​days about contractors swindling people or taking money and not finishing the job, its incredibly hard to trust someone. Rudy has a good aura about him (if you believe in that kinda thing) and if I added things onto the to-​do list, it was always an «ok» and I never felt like I was a burden or my request was an annoyance. An updated invoice followed immediately after to review and sign. Rudy was great at educating me on different materials and it was incredibly reassuring when making decisions.
Pricing was not the least expensive nor the most expensive. If I had to rate him on the spectrum, I would say he’s more middle on the scale. But going with Rudy makes it totally worth it because it will be done right.
Hands down, great service. Quality craftsmanship with no shortcuts. I’ve recommended to everyone I know in the area and plan on using him again when I have to do the perimeter fence and kitchen remodel.

These folks are idots. I called looking to get some work done on a rental. The first question I asked was «Do you take credit cards because I’m not local?». No, the woman who I spoke to, but we’ll bill you. Great, but they were late by a day showing up to do the estimate, when I called looking for the estimate, she said I had to prepay a deposit. I repeted that this would slow the process down and that she never told me about a deposit. Long story short, look elsewhere, like the first line they are idots!

Myself, family members, friends and neighbors have all used Rudy’s Services for small to enormous jobs. All were done well, with competitive pricing and easy people to deal with. The finished efforts have been amazing-​a total remodel in Malibu is a true showplace now from the bamboo floors to the granite counters and new windows, doors, decks. My own home in San Pedro has an entire new room addition with bathroom and a gorgeous kitchen! My friends in Rolling Hills have a new roof, a new septic tank and stables with corrals built from the ground up. Great work/​workers!
