Just nothing special. Almost any other choice would be better.

Pretty solid seafood. The shrimp dishes are amazing. However if you were to choose between the diablo and the garlic shrimp dish, I prefer the garlic dish because it’s less saucy. Now I like sauce but the garlic glaze was a terrific touch to the shrimp. The service is especially nice. The lady takes pride in educating her first time customers. Parking has its own private lot in front. Be sure you go to the one across the street from the other Mexican restaurant or you’ll be dining at the wrong location. Overall, the Original Las Brisas is great for lunch. Portions and prices are up to par and you’re treated well by the customer service.

Every single food on the menu I tried in this restaurant is really good, but the chiles rellenos are the best! The horchata is amazing too, it’s made from scratch!

Seriously the best Mexican food in town! I have eaten an assortment of plates but the best for me would be the shrimp a la diabla plate or the simple quesadilla and fries. Honestly I love it. The staff are friendly and attentive. To top it off family friendly as well! Arrive early though! Seating is limited!

Wow, the food here was really good. Have driven passed this place a ton of times. Never stopped in. Even parked in front of it when going Nick’s Pizza next door… which by the way I stopped going to Nicks when their food quality went to crap. Anyhow, this place has a decent sitting area, nice TVs, clean and great service. Wow and the food was really good and seasoned just right. Only complaint was that the house chips were stale. But the rest was on point! This will be my go-to Mexican food spot from now on!

First visit and was NOT disappointed. Their signature meat is al pastor and it was delicious! Wet burrito with rice and al pastor… ate the whole thing. Their wet chili verde burrito was yummy as well! Of course you’ve got to have a glass of horchata! We’ll be back!

We walked in for takeout but it was so inviting and welcoming so we decided to stay. The owner’s daughter shared their story and showed the passion they have for the restaurant and the pride they take in their food. When the food I was so amazed at how big the portions were. Also the food is fresh and made from scratch. Omg! I’m writing as I’m eating… the chicken soup is so good. Like something my grandma would make. The food presentation is very appealing. My little sister who’s very picky is loving and devouring her enchiladas. We also got chips with melted cheese on top and they are so addicting(no, it’s not nachos). Loved the ambiance. I will make it a must every time I’m in town. Also, very important. .the food isn’t greasy. The quality and freshness of the ingredients is great! A hidden gem. I’m a fan!

Everything here was DELICIOUS and so fresh! The guacamole was great! I had the flauta plate and they were so soft and crispy! Even better was the service. This family owned/ran business really conveys that! I wish we lived closer so we could come here all the time.

Wow this fine Mexican restaurant is very authentic. After my first try I have to come back for more of the wet burrito. I definitely recommend this place for any occasion.

Very good. Been coming here my whole life, and will definitely be back. The only thing I would say is, the chairs are to high for the table, lol. Other than that, it’s great.

I tried Las Brisas for the first and last time. I ordered 2 shrimp tacos to go. To my surprise i took the first bite my taco came apart. It had like 2 shrimps in each taco. What a fucken rip off. I paid like 7 $ for some soggy ass tacos. The chips and salsa. Salsa they call it watered down. Eeewwkkk never will i ever bring my service to Las Brisas on Gaffey & Chanel.

Pulled up to this place and was a little unsure if I wanted to eat there. It’s in a small strip mall and looked really small… Well the staff was VERY friendly!!! I ordered the chicken wet burrito and I was very pleased with it. Not too wet and the flavor of the chicken was great. I was happy they they didn’t soak the burrito and that the chicken seemed to be mostly white meat. That made me happy! Over all a nice place with friendly staff and great food. On a bad note… There isn’t a restroom.

The owner received some sort of Congressional award… nuff sed. Alright, Unilocal said I needed to write more. I had a wet burrito that was really tasty. I had the pork that was specially cooked… postanos maybe? I don’t know, but it was da bomb.

My previous review stands. This is after I ate the food. It’s very eh. Bad service mixed with average food means we won’t be going back.

When they mean homestyle cooked food, it’s not just a basic saying to lure you in. I have never had as genuine home style cooked food as good as Las Brisas. The service is excellent and the food is even better. Yes it’s in a smaller plaza then most, but it is definitely worth it. The small, slightly hidden, home-like places are always the best.

Located in a strip mall is this mom n pop Mexican restaurant. I walked in on Mother’s Day at noon and the tv was on and a little abuelita was watching it, enjoying her meal. I’m not sure if she’s a worker or a regular, but she knew her way around the restaurant. A woman dressed in a traditional Mexican outfit greeted us, and gave us a menu since we were dining in. I ordered an horchata, while Stephen had a can of diet coke. I was surprised she didn’t offer him a glass with ice or a straw when she placed the drinks down with the chips and salsa(I agree with one Unilocaler, its salsa, not pico de gallo). As I was munching on my chips, I wished I had a napkin. Place settings came later, after you order. We were going to have dinner with the Moms later so I chose the grande shrimp cocktail, and Stephen had the light combo consisiting of chicken enchilada, chile relleno, and beef taco. For a «light» platter, that was a lot of food! It came with a scoop of beans and rice. Its a small kitchen with 2 workers, so you have to be patient. The food came out in about 15 – 20 minutes, and it was good. Not great, like the way my ex husband’s tia would make it. Its definitely not Acapulco or some chain like that, but I’ve had better«home style» mexican food. Living in Socal, we get spoiled with great food, this place is well, just ok. NO refills on the soda or the agua frescas(although I think the regulars gets refills. just saying). I did like the horchata, so I ordered a 2nd one at full price($ 2.50) for a medium size and took it to go. We had a $ 20 groupon, and even with the discounted price, we still had to add an addition $ 10 + tip for the balance. I think the bill came to $ 29.50 for 2 entrees, 3 drinks. Overall, an ok place.
