This is a wonderful family owned and operated business! The food is delicious and the family is friendly, warm, kind and most of all courteous! Please try them out, they will not disappoint!

Tiki’s Tacos is a food truck stationed down in Terminal Island that serves up good tacos and other Mexican fare. Unfortunately, I have only tried the tacos but I have heard that they have good burritos and other items. Taco Tuesdays include $ 1 chicken and $ 1 asada tacos which are a good deal. They are kind of small, but are double-layered tortillas and are served up with salsa, limes and some chips. This is a convenient choice if you are in the area, since there are not many food places nearby.

Tiki’s is a hidden gem! All their food is fresh and so tasty! The service is the best. The idea of a taco truck serving seafood and good food is not usually together but this place is the real deal. It can get crowded during the lunch rush but is worth the wait. I love me some Tiki’s Tacos!

First and foremost, the address listed is where they park their trailer, not where they sell their food. You can find them if you Google this address: 193 Terminal Way San Pedro, CA90731 They can be found in a parking lot of the Evergreen container terminal in the port of Los Angeles. Their hours are typically M-F 9am-4pm, Sat 9am-1pm, Sun closed. Oh and CASHONLY! On to the review: Ok here’s the thing: Tiki’s sells shrimp from a mobile lunch trailer at the water front. I know this combination of words will scare some of you despite the recent onslaught of gourmet lunch trucks, but trust me, this place is legit! This is a clean, professional and very friendly operation! Their shrimp is AMAZING! Tacos Al Gubernator, the«Governor Taco» is what they call it. Or get it in a quasadilla or burrito. Personally I’m torn between the taco and the quasadilla. The shrimp flavor is great and the sauce they make for it is crazy delicious. I’ve been going here pretty much every week since I found out about it several months ago simply because of their shrimp. I got my coworkers hooked too! They do all the taco stand staples too: carne asada, pollo, lingua, civiche, Mexican shrimp cocktail, etc. and on Thursdays and Fridays they do grilled half chicken plates with rice and beans(or side salad) for $ 7. And their beans are a delicious white bean type and not refried like your run of the mill taco mills. It makes a real tasty bean and cheese burrito. Nothing against refried of course. This is a family affair with Dad, Mom, Brother and family friend in the kitchen and Sister taking the orders. They don’t make your food ’til you order it, save for their vat of rice and beans so you might have a slight wait depending on the crowd. They do take call in orders(the phone number listed is correct). They have a few tables under a tarp where you can dine al fresco if you’re inclined. Bottom line is this place is more of a restaurant on wheels than a taco trailer. Most everyone at the port of LA knows about this place. If you’re not in the know and find yourself in the neighborhood, stop on by. You’ll be glad you did!

I wrote to Unilocal saying that the original information I put down about this place(San Pedro Harbor, in the Evergreen terminal parking lot) keeps getting changed by them. I typed the correct address but they just change it back to this Downey location which I have no idea what is there. Sorry, I don’t mean to confuse anyone who’s looking for this place. The address they have listed is FALSE. Only the number is correct.
