Hands down the best frame shop in the North Bay. Not only is the craftsmanship excellent and prices reasonable, but his ability to choose the perfect frame and mat that best compliments your art is amazing.

I’ve only used AC Graphics for its«mount-float-spray» service. They take a photo print, mount it on some other super-flat wood product(masonite?), put some 2×1’s on the back to space it from the wall and support hanging it. It works well, and at $ 44 for a 20×30, it’s a good way to get big prints on a wall without spending a fortune. I’ve had about a dozen photos done that way over the years. They messed one up(drips in the coating spray) but the rest have been good. Side review: is a good place to get 20×30’s printed for mounting here($ 18 each). A photographer friend introduced me to the ezprints-AC Graphics combo more than ten years ago, and I’m still using it to this day. AC Graphics is not so into the internet, there’s no web site. They used to have a price list on an Angelfire site, but that doesn’t seem to exist anymore. I called and they emailed me the price list.

AC Graphics has always been trustworthy, done excellent work, reasonably priced and handles fine art with care and expertise. There is no where else I would trust to frame artwork, photographs and valued items. I’ve been going to AC for about 10 years and have never had a problem with anything.

until now i would’ve given acg a glowing 4 stars. now i wish i could give them zero. the background: ac graphics is inexpensive which is why i’ve gone there a few times over the last couple of years. they’ve done a decent job on my frames. each time i have to have something re-done because it was scratched or whatever, but i figure that’s just why they’re so inexpensive compared to regular framers. they always do a pretty good job, but they’re totally unreliable on their time-frames for jobs. the reason i gave acg 1 star: my last job was *multiple* weeks overdue. a 2 week job turned into an almost 6 week job. if it’d been only personal stuff being framed i would’ve been irritated, but since some of it was for clients, acg’s inability to get a job done reflected extremely poorly on me. when i would call to ask when it would be done, he kept promising me a day when the job would be complete and then that day would come and go and the job would not be ready. this happened FOUR times over the course of the job. it ended up being more than 3wks overdue(that’s on top of the lengthy 2wks he already takes to get a normal order done which is slightly ridiculous compared to someplace like fast-frames which can do a large order in 3 – 5 days). i dropped the job off at the end of april and it wasn’t done till the second week in june. oh, the clincher? wait for it… when i went in to finally pick up the order(after having called to confirm its completion) i arrived to pick up my stuff to find that he WASMISSING one of my pieces. now when i say«was missing» i mean he literally didn’t have it, couldn’t find it at all. finally after about 20min looking for it while i stood there waiting, he finally found it under a pile of stuff, UNFRAMED! i was fit to be tied, he ended up framing it that day and i picked it up within a few hours, but that was just the straw that broke my back. i won’t be using acg ever again.
