I just engaged AYS for a post construction cleaning. For a company that specializes in this service, and charges about $ 50/hour, I was expecting to be wowed. Instead both my husband and I were completely underwhelmed. The service they provided was no more than what my normal housekeepers could have done at a fraction of the price. I found numerous places they didn’t think to clean(like under the bed and under the nightstand) and other areas they cleaned but either missed sections or didn’t do thoroughly. Granted, we still had workers in the house which made it more confusing, but I was reassured this was a normal thing they face and are used to working around. I discussed my displeasure with Paulette the owner and her opinion is that the workers worked as hard as they could. IMO working constantly during the day does not equate to quality. And certainly not for the price she charges(her hour totals include the workers’ lunch hour btw — which is unheard of). Lastly — Paulette accused me of being«exacting». I’m not sure if I should take that as a compliment or a criticism. Either way, I think she could use a little more of that trait to raise the quality of the service she delivers.

Before buying the living social coupon I emailed them(they just don’t answer their phones) asking them if they had availability on a certain day, and they replied in 30 seconds telling me they had it so I bought the coupon. I emailed them back with the coupon number and no reply for weeks. I sent them email after email and someone finally called back after a month. Well, once they get you in the phone they will try to sell you up to various packages that cost more. When you tell them you’re not interested they want nothing to do with you and are downright rude. I called LS and asked the for a refund because I didn’t want to deal with these people. Luckily, LS immediately gave me a refund. Suggestion: DONOTDEALWITHTHESEPEOPLE. They’re really sketchy.
