Bartlett Tree Experts

I have mixed feelings about this company. Initially I was pleased with their arborist, who told me that I didn’t need to remove a large tree that Treemasters was chomping at the bit to take down. On the other hand, although I told them year after year that my budget was tight and my objective only the health of my trees, they recommended numerous annual treatments and services that I’ve since learned are not best practices and are just a way to drum up fees. No harm was done to my trees, but I spent close to a thousand a year that I didn’t need to spend. I’m now using Marin Tree Service.

Not sure what we would have done without Bartlett. The couple hundred year old oak tree in our front yard fell on our house in the middle of the night. Bartlett was there first thing in the morning making things happen. From working with our insurance company, the city of Novato, the bee expert and so much more. They were so sensitive to what our family went through. They even spent the time to cut some pieces for us to keep for memories. Once everything was done, there wasn’t a stick or a leaf left on the ground. They were so professional and efficient. Thank you Bartlett!

Prompt service, courteous staff, both supervisors and the actual workers who spent a day up in the tree in front of my house were pleasant as well. Thinning a huge cedar tree required some real skill and these guys have it. The tree looks great. Reasonable price and my yard was left clean too.

These people are first class, all the way from the person who answers the phone, to the estimator, to checking any regulations with the town, and finally getting the job done quickly and professionally. Wish all Marin businesses were this good.

I have used Bartlett Tree Experts many times over the last few years. I have had nothing but good experiences with their services. They invest a lot of time and expense to keep ther people up to date on the best practices for keeping your trees healthy.
Bartlett recently had to take down a very large Monterey pine that was very close to my house and had started to decline. It was a very delicate procedure so close to the house and they performed it without a hitch.
Bartlett also does maintenance work on the trees in my yard. There was another reviewer who stated that they didn’t trim the person’s tree to their liking. Barlett has been caring for my trees for years and they know what they are doing to trim trees for maximum health and beauty. My trees are beautiful and I have confidence that they are healthy and I won’t have any nasty surprises from a tree falling over because if was diseased. Bartlett isn’t the cheapest company. They are the best.
Update 34÷1÷2011: In the recent storms many trees and limbs were blown down around the county. The fact that none of the trees on my property suffered damage is a testimony to the expert care of Bartlett Tree Experts. I no longer worry that there is hidden disease in any of my trees. I know that they are well cared for and that the care and advice I get from Bartlett is knowledgable and timely.
