When I wanted to have a completely new and comprehensive lighting design for my house, I ended up choosing Scott Dumas of David Scott Lighting as my lighting designer. His solution ended up being a well-​designed combination of halogen recessed, track, and decorative fixtures. Scott was very competitive in his design bid and yet provided much more than other lighting designers with whom I’ve worked in the past. He was very hands on, responsive, and amicable. Since he has a background in lighting fixtures and equipment sales, he was able to bring this valuable knowledge, and discounted equipment pricing to the project. In addition, he found the right contractor for the installation for me, and did a great job of managing him. He also brought the skills of an electrician to all phases of the project, and was able to troubleshoot when we hit snags during and after installation. He was happy to come to my house whenever an issue came up, as many times as were needed. Most lighting designers are unable to provide this level of service. I highly recommend him.

Scott Dumas of David Scott Lighting is nothing short of phenomenal. I was unsure if we really needed a lighting designer when tackling our kitchen/​great room renovation, but I am now convinced! Scott offered amazing ideas and suggestions that I did not know even know were possibilities with lighting — up cabinet lighting, wireless master console switches, unique ways of lighting bookshelves and task lighting. His lighting design plan took what our designer and contractor had done to an entirely new level. Though he does a lot of high end projects, he was also extremely mindful of our budget and helped us make decisions to stretch our dollar further.
