First, I have to admit that I work at Dominican University. However, the food service is a private company(Bön Appetit), so I believe it’s okay for me to review the dining hall experience. Although I eat there for lunch most work days, I want to review the weekend brunch. I have brought my grandchildren and their parents to brunch at the dining hall. This is a great deal for a family, especially one with picky kids. My grandsons particularly like the cereal bar(at least five choices) the chocolate milk, the bacon and scrambled eggs, and the salad bar(the older one likes to make his own salad.) Of course, the biggest draw is the donut tray, but who can blame them. Instead of going to a restaurant, or trying to have all their favorites available at my house, the dining hall allows them to pick from a variety and they are both happy. The grownups are also happy. The coffee is good, as are the pancakes and waffles, and cheesy eggs. All this for a price that doesn’t hurt your budget. The brunch starts at 10:30 a.m., I think. That was a surprise the first time, as we had arrived a ½ hour too early. Otherwise, I can’t think of a better place to take a family for a weekend brunch.

I like to eat at college’s d.c. Whenever I’m visiting a new place or even close to a college I check out the d.c. A tid bit for most people: It is not neccessay to go to the college to eat there. Most of the time the food is great and very healthy because it is the school’s mission to promote healthy eating. Admission is usually under $ 10. I like to bring visitors and middle to high school family friends to Domincan when they visit me. It is a great way to show young kids how college life would be and expose them to a college campus. Admission to Domincan is $ 8.00 with a salad bar and hot food. It changes from day to day

I came here to visit my sister, and heard that the cafeteria food was pretty good, so I forced my sister to take me because I figured $ 8.00 for an all you can eat meal — why not? Tonight they served chicken with orange seasame sauce, bbq beef, and ratatouille. They also served various sides such as black beans, steamed veggies, and an open salad bar. What a wonderful meal I had indeed! The bbq beef was yummier than your standard bbq beef, orange chicken was okay(could’ve been used better as a salad topping). The black beans and steamed veggies were satisfying as well, and although I haven’t had much experience with ratatoullie, I would have to add that to the satisfying list. I was extremely excited to be eating in a dorm cafeteria(because I had only been one before and remembered it to be an exciting experience) but I was even more thrilled by the chocolate milk on tap!!! What an amazing thing to have(this is probably a common thing in dorm cafeterias but still I was stunned)! Towards the end of the meal I opted to skip out on the ice cream since I had already had 3 plates of food and have an oatmeal cookie instead. The cookie was just as good as the rest of the meal — it had the perfect amount of chewiness and tasted just fabulous. I would definitely come back here to eat for 8 bucks. p. s. it’s downgraded a star because the setting of it made me feel like I was in high school
