The technician did a horrible job on my car seats. When I called him to repair what he did, he couldn’t find the time. I was told that I had to leave my car and get a ride home, I live alone and have no one to pick me up. This is something he knew and when he first wanted my business was willing to pick me up and drop me off. Once he got paid I am no longer important to him.

Saul just completed his work on my leather soda and leather side chair. The results are amazing. I had come close to replacing them with new pieces due to their worn appearance and small rips. Happily, instead I contacted Saul, and now that he has worked his magic they look terrific. Like night and day. His work is meticulous and of the highest quality, and he is a genuine, pleasant individual. If you have leather furniture in need of restoration, this is your guy. I cannot recommend him enthusiastically enough.

I have a well used, teal colored leather couch and chair. It had spots where the color had disappeared, a major hole, a split seam… it was in very bad shape. Hopefully, I called Fibrenew and Alex came out to see what he could do. He is amazing. The hole (a cigarette burn) is completely gone, the seam is repaired (and it was a big one) and the color is completely smooth across the chair and the couch. He spent about an hour, very carefully matching the color on all the repairs. I really am amazed… this 20 yr old furniture looks almost new. Alex is an artist who cares about his work. This is a GREAT company!

I found an ugly leather chrome chair with excellent bones at a salvage yard and proceeded to drive it all over the bay area with my bolt of replacement cover material to get it re-​upholstered.
The quotes were off the charts.
I then took it to the Franzini Brothers (auto upholstery gods!) who pointed out that it was real leather, actually in pretty good structural shape and they sent me to Alex at Fibrerenew.
Alex took what had been someone’s cast off garbage and made it look better than «design within reach» for a modest price that was well worth it.
The chair is now solid, tight and a new entirely different and delightful color, and since I kept the original, better– than– what– is– now– out– there leather, it will last.
I am delighted.
I wish I had more leather stuff to go get enhanced by Alex… I also wish I had a muscle car worthy of getting the Franzini’s to work on it… but that’s another story.

My father-​in-​law recently gave me his 1974 Datsun 260Z. Super cool car, but the interior was totally yellowed and dingy. The quotes I got to replace the plastic and vinyl were more than the car was worth. Then I had Alex come and look. In five hours time he RESTORED the inside of my car! Filled cracks, fixed tears, and matched the seats (they are newer) to perfection. Looks incredible. Quick, professional, neat!

Quick and to the point: Fantastic work by Alex at Fibrenew. I have a 20 year-​old black leather chair and ottoman. Truth is I treated it well through the years but the sun damage from southern facing windows created a severe look. Not any more — it looks brand new! I don’t do many public reviews — but the improvement in the appearance of my chair and ottoman are astonishingly good.

I called Fibrenew to repair a tear on my 13 year old Leather love seat. The leather was scratched and the color had been rubbed off in some places, due to repeated cleanings with the wrong leather cleaning product. Alex showed up on time, explained what needed to be done, and let me know he could repair the tear, and dye the love seat, put a sealer on it, and it would look great. It looks better than great. It looks fantastic.
The tear area looks good. It was about 3 inches long and 3 inches wide. You would have to look very closely to see a repair had been done.
After seeing the results on my couch, my Daughter is calling them to come out and work on her two leather couches.
Alex was professional, and honest about the cost. Very reasonable.

My Eames Lounge Chair had partied hard in its sexy, glory days. Too much sun and too much a$&. As a result, much like its swagger, so too had its cushions faded.
But never fear, Alex from Fibrenew brought back the mojo to my dojo. Within an hour the leather looked blacker than Dick Cheney’s soul. He also made quick work of the scratches on my ottoman.

Before you throw that old leather sofa away, you really should consider Fibrenew! I just used Fibrenew to refurbish a beloved leather couch in our family room. Alex gave me an estimate up front, arrived promptly, worked diligently, and left me with a 10-​year-​old leather couch that looked new. Our Acura MDX 10-​year old leather was looking grim, and also ripped along the perforations in many places on the passenger seat. Alex was flexible in setting up a time, came directly to my home, and fixed it on the spot. When another tear appeared in a different place on the seat a few weeks later, Alex came out immediate and fixed it for free. — Great works and great customer service. I would recommend Fibrenew to anyone. What solid craftsmanship! Alex came to my office this morning to fix a tear I had in the back seat of my car. He was courteous, professional and his quality of work was exceptional. The cost of the repair came in under what he had quoted. Keep in mind it was raining when Alex arrived and my office does not have covered parking. I thought for sure we would have to reschedule, but the rain did not stop him.

When my husband and I moved in together he brought along his sun-​bleached black leather couch & love seat. They were quality pieces, with the exception of the faded color. I was so close to getting rid of them, but I knew I would have to deal with my husband’s pouting complaining about how we always get rid of his stuff.

We have 8-​year-​old leather furniture. The seating surfaces were damaged. I used to live hear a leash-​free beach where I would walk/​swim/​fetch my retriever in the evenings. If I would get up at night, to get a glass of water, I would find a damp, salty dog curled up and snoozing on the leather. A few years to that took its toll on the furniture.
Otherwise, the furniture was in good condition.
On-​line, I found an ad for Fibrenew, indicating their business was to restore damaged leather. I called and Alex came over, very promptly, and delivered what we thought was a very reasonable quote, to clean a sofa, two chairs and two ottomans, and, to ‘restore’ the seating surfaces of the chairs and sofas.

When we saw the finished product, we could hardly believe it – it was just beautiful! As my husband said, «Exceeds expectations!»

As I write this, it is May, 2011. In a couple years, I hope I remember to write another review, to indicate how the restoration is enduring.
We are just delighted with the result, it looks good as new. I remain mildly astonished at how well Alex was able to match the original color.

My wife called Fibrenew to fix some worn spots on a one of a kind chesterfield sofa after I balked at the cost of getting it reupholstered. This is a gem of a service because the sofa looks good as new and the cost was a decimal place different. The yard sale sofa and Fibrenew repair ended up costing less than the ikea sofas we looked at. Top Notch.

I recently had a bad tear in the passenger seat of my Highlander. I had Fibrenew come out to fix it. Alex Baker was very responsive in getting back to me and showed up on time. He was able to come to my house and fix the seat in about an hour. I was really surprised to see that he was able to completely fix the seat and it really looks like new. If you have an annoying tear in any of your leather or upholstery, I recommend you give Fibrenew a try.
