Leaving St Helena and the guy with the Stop/​slow sign is a complete inconsiderate, rude fat piece of garbage! Taking his finger smashing it into sign like i dont know how to read! Then after turning sign to slow side starts yelling at me «do you know how to read»? WTF! Where do these guys come from? Is that a prerequisite to getting a job with Ghilotti Bros? Last week they laughed at my daughter and called her a «fat hoe» after she fell and broke her knee at one of their sites after being told to walk that way! Then he yelled he hoped my bastard grandson (13) would get hit by a car!
This company needs to get a reality check and no matter how big they are show respect!

As a long term Castro Street, San Francisco resident, not only am I very please with the results of the sidewalk widening project, I’m impressed with the Ghilotti Bros team that made it happen. These guys worked hard to make it as easy as possible for residents to manage during construction. I found the crews friendly, polite and professional.
I was very impressed with the job site Supervisor Bob, whom I had the pleasure of speaking with a few times during the project.
Ghilotti Bros has been in the neighborhood for over 9 months. Usually guest who stay that long wear out their welcome, but I’m gonna miss these men who have made such a historic change to Castro Street.

only a few selected construction workers have been considerate; the rest of them are Assholes, who don’t give a shit about the drivers, and think they own the town.
blocking off several streets at a time, making it very difficult to get around town, let alone on your bicycle.
one of them shouted at me; and I shouted right back.
am glad they got sued in April of this year.

Ghilotti Brothers recently completed a paving project on my street. During the process, Ghilotti Brother’s crews were courteous and thoughtful of the needs of the residents. The completed work is of exceptional quality. Furthermore, Ghilotti Brothers took the extra effort to precisely grade– in the driveways and frontage area.

They start work on multiple streets of the same time. And place there signs on both sides of the street telling you not to park there between 7:00am — 4:00pm. They leave the signs there for a week or more. Why they can’t work on one side then the other I don’t know.

their website says they do small residential jobs. I called them 2 months ago to get an estimate for repaving our cul-de-sac’s asphalt driveway (for 5 houses). they never even called back. lame. we ended up using Galobe and Son, and are happy with the result (and, no, I’m not an employee of or related to or have a preexisting attachment to Galobe in any way).

Ghilotti Bros donated three days’ worth of equipment, labor, and machinery to repair, for free, a road leading to my developmentally-​delayed sister’s work site. What a huge huge gift. Their generosity alone makes me a big fan.
