Yuri and his staff went above and beyond to make my father’s service perfect.
They took care of every detail from the flowers to the catering. They were very

The first thing they did when we called was to tell us that the plans we had set five years earlier would not work and we had to use them for everything. They pretty much said and did everything wrong and seemed to go out of their way to be rude, uncompassionate, and try to take advantage of our situation to make money. It was remarkable how insensitive and rude they were.
We ended up firing them and working with Brian at Montes in San Anselmo — and Montes was totally the opposite, very thoughtful, compassionate, tactful, and respectful — not even wanting to talk about taking payment until everything was taken care of. Brian is amazing and was totally supportive and perfect.

I too am very surprised by the reviews below for Keatons and can only assume it is becuase those reviews are ancient and out of date.
The staff I have talked with at Keatons is absolutely wonderful and kind. David, Greg and Yuri have all gone out of their way to be helpful. And everyone is caring, and compassionate, plus, the atmosphere is comforting too. The little rooms make it a very easy place to gather and talk.
Because there are a thousand things to deal with at a time of great loss, it’s comforting to find a company with such good heart.

Greg at Keatons was very respectful, helpful and organized. In one meeting he led me through all the basic steps, including phone calls I should make. He coordinated the transportation of my father and the burial in Texas. It all went very smoothly. I was very, very pleased.

I am surprised by the reviews here. My family had a very positive experience with Keaton’s San Rafael and did not feel we got a hard sell at all. They went out of their way to help us make things just the way we wanted, without pushing any unnecessary services or products. I would without hesitation recommend them to anyone unfortunately needing their services.

this place is awful. They are creepy, and just want money. If you do not move at their pace they will threaten to declare the deceased’s body abandon. they are clearly in the business for money alone. and do not care how they get it.

Get ready for the hard sell at this funeral home. Your best bet is to resist all sales pressure and order a casket from Costco. Yes, they will accept it (they have to). The Costco casket arrived the next day after it was ordered. The Keatons guys will try to max you out while you’re grief stricken, so keep your head on straight, have them do only the stuff they have to, and save thousands of dollars by ordering from Costco.
