Worked with Brad and his crew earlier this year — they were prompt and professional for their initial appointment to bid, and subsequent appointments to do the work. I appreciated their consideration of my budget and quality standards — they devised a solution to my home’s structural issue in a way that satisfied both. The work was done quickly and they left with the area cleaner than it was before. I would recommend them.

I have now used Pagan twice and their service is unparalleled for promptness, quality and excellent communication. The service technician they sent Alberto was great. Each time he has come unprompted he took his shoes PDF before he came in the house. Thanks to Brad too for getting us scheduled so quickly.

Being a first-​time homeowner I had a lot of questions about the condition of our house and also ideas for projects moving forward. Brad came over for a walk through and quote and was both professional and friendly — able to simplify things for somebody who knows very little bit about home ownership. It was refreshing to talk to someone who could keep it real — not just trying to sell their services. He addressed all my questions and helped me come up with a timeline for things moving forward. Most importantly he reminded me to «enjoy my house». He couldn’t have said it better.

We had the pleasure of working with Pagan construction when renovating our recently purchased home in Marin. We found them on Unilocal,and had a terrific overall experience with their team. I would not hesitate one second in giving them my highest recommendation.
Brad and Ed patiently helped guide us through our wish list while giving us great ideas on prioritizing our renovations. Over the course of a couple months they helped us remove popcorn ceilings, completely upgrade our entire electrical subsystem (new main disconnect panel, new GFCI circuits to all bathrooms and kitchen, LED recessed room and accent lighting throughout, «connected» smart light switches/​thermostat/​locks), install all new interior doors and hardware, paint the entire interior/​ceilings/​doors/​trim, remodel one of our larger bedrooms into two smaller ones, and many other smaller projects along the way.
We made a number of changes to our original plans and they were very accommodating. They worked with our budget, with no overruns or surprises in labor costs, and final materials costs that were right in line with their original projection. The quality of their workmanship exceeded our high standards. They maintained excellent communication throughout the project with us, the City, PG&E, etc. Their entire team was professional, courteous, clean, respectful and hard-​working. We relied on their knowledge and experience and we are very happy with the results. We love our home thanks to Pagan and we look forward to working with them again in the future for other projects big and small!

I called Brad about an oven installation. He was very friendly and responsive and got the work scheduled right away. Alberto and Jose were right on time and did an excellent job, leaving everything clean and organized. Pagan is a great team to work with!

I was looking for a contractor to carry out a broad spectrum of home improvements ranging from a kitchen re-​model to very small odd jobs. I contacted Pagan Construction in May after reading these positive Unilocal reviews. Within a few days of my initial call, I met Brad at the property. Brad was professional, genuine, open and presented me with a clear pricing structure. He also gave me some great free advice which helped me to plan and scope the project appropriately.

The main jobs were knocking out two kitchen walls, changing out countertop and backsplash, re-​configuring the existing cabinetry, upgrading the lighting and electrical fixtures throughout the house, installing base and crown molding (whole house), deck demolition and refinish, and about 40 small odd jobs. We made a game plan and work began in June. For 7 weeks every person I interacted with was kind and courteous. I especially enjoyed working with Ed Pagano because he brought a very keen artistic eye to the project and is brimming with simple ideas to enhance the «look» and/​or the utility of a space.
The project ran on time and on budget. The results? Absolutely beautiful. I am extremely happy with how the house looks overall and especially the new kitchen has completely transformed the entire space.
If I had to say one area that could be improved upon next time it would be the final wrap up. We did the final walk through in August and agreed on the last few tasks to be completed. A couple weeks went by when was no activity (for various reasons both on my side and theirs). We’ve been slow to wrap things up over these past 4 weeks but, in the overall scheme, this is a minor point.
Overall, things happened when they said they would happen, the actual prices were consistent with the quotes, the communication was excellent throughout. Their pricing is very competitive, the work is high quality and, the best part, we had fun along the way! I was always made to feel like a valued customer. I am already planning future renovations and will definitely be seeking to work with Pagan again.

I called and actually got a live person (not a machine) immediately answer. I explained my two problems (cracks near foundation and in wall). I sent him pix via e-​mail. In just a few minutes, he explained how I could fix the problem myself and that it was not a serious problem. EXCELLENT SERVICE! HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!

I reached out to Pagan Construction to see if we can complete a few projects for our home with them. They called me back on the very same day (which is rare guys!) and was very honest that our home is outside the vicinity of where they do work and it would be extremely difficult to commute daily to the worksite. Professional in every aspect. Work is done promptly, efficiently, and they give you trustworthy advice. They did a variety of projects for me on my house in Ross, laundry venting, exterior work on fascia, concrete work, drywall work. It’s been a long time since I bothered to write a review, but when someone gives you honest information that benefits you, and not them I want everyone to know. I just moved into a new home and had need for Pagan Construction’s services. We have an issue with Asbestos and construction issues. From the beginning Brad was great and very helpful.

We found Pagan on Unilocal and glad of it! They provided exemplary customer service and excellent skills with very competitive rates — the best type of business plan! We hired them primarily to enlarge and remodel a walk-​in closet and they did a beautiful job. They also installed crown molding, painted and installed new door knobs throughout the house. Brad supervised the job and the entire team was wonderful. They were extremely respectful of our space while working, installed floor coverings and walled off the dust by creating a pseudo-​room so that we could still access our facilities and property. They were pleasant, polite and lovely to work with and we are looking forward to having them back to build out our deck — and any other project we can imagine.

My wife and I hired Pagan Construction to help with a leak that we had in our master bathroom. Brad was able to set up an appointment with one of his contractors who quickly evaluated the problem and set up a plan. This involved sheet rock work, plumbing, and painting. The work was done quickly and skillful. They were easy to communicate with, always arrived on time, and were responsible in cleaning up each day
I would highly recommend Pagan Construction. In fact, we plan to use them again in the spring for a remodel.

Pagan did storm repair to our home. Brad was great, alway kept us in the loop. Got progress reports most every day. The quality of work was perfect, example; the home is vintage built with redwood siding. Pagan replaced with redwood in order to maintain original material. Any future repairs I’ll be calling Pagan

Pagan helped me on various projects in my Tiburon house. We designed an amazing bar/​man cave for my husband. He rarely leaves that room now. We are in the process of adding a coffered ceiling with custom lighting to our dining room. Our next project includes a glass railing around our decks and a jacuzzi deck with landscaping. I would highly recommend their services. They are prompt, deliver projects on time, and they understand tricky budgets.
Honest contractors that really care about your home and family are hard to find. These guys are trustworthy and do beautiful work.

We hired Pagan Construction to make small-​to-​moderate changes to our kitchen and 2 baths, though the job turned into moderate-​to-​large changes in those rooms, plus the addition of complete electrical rewiring of our house, an overhaul of our laundry room, and painting and improvements to our entire house. Our decision to increase the job size can be credited to the excellent results of the early work they did and the mutual trusting relationship that developed.
The management team, Ed and Brad, complemented each other in skills and temperament. Brad, with his knowledge of the business inside and out, handled the logistics and met with us often during the project to provide status and field our questions, comments, and requests, turning them into work assignments for his staff. Ed has an eye for design, and often greatly improved a room just by quietly suggesting one or two changes to what we came up with. Not only are Brad and Ed accomplished construction managers, they are especially entertaining when together. Their argument over whether our kitchen fan was 36 or 42 inches (prior to measuring it) rivals Abbott and Costello’s «Who’s on First?» routine.
Every worker we met was skilled, courteous, and responsive to our requests. Some were jack-​of-​all-​trades, some specialized in one area, such as tiling and electricity work. The blue tape method of indicating what to fix or touch up worked perfectly. We simply blue taped a crooked light switch or a smudge on the new paint, and they were almost magically corrected.
To me, the true measure of a service company is what happens when a mistake is made or a significant change is requested. Pagan met our needs and always, *always* made sure we were satisfied with the finished product, be it a paint job, a new cabinet, or a granite slab cut to fit our hearth.
If I had to pick one incident that reflects their consideration for the customer, I would choose the Kitchen Counter Tiling Incident of 2014: It would be difficult to describe the first idea for our kitchen counter tiles. We couldn’t fully visualize how it would look when completed but agreed to the design, and as fate would have it, my wife and I were out of town when the whole counter project was completed. When we returned and saw the counter, we looked at each other and our jaws fell. We didn’t like the way it looked at all. We told Brad, with the intention of paying to have the work undone and then accomplished differently. Before we could offer to pay, Brad said, «You didn’t think you were going to have to pay to change this, did you?» It was this incident that cemented our loyalty to Pagan, and made us decide that we wanted to have Pagan do considerable additional work for us.
Brad said Pagan handles small jobs as well as big ones, and we will use them again for either.

Oh my, where do I start, Brad is a super hero in my book. We bought a condo that needed some TLC, a few large items to update, such as ceiling resurfacing with recessed lights, crown molding, wood fireplace overhaul into gas, mounted TV/​Bose system, etc. Brad’s followup skills are exceptional and the real kicker is that he was able to navigate between family members ever so professionally. Pagan’s crew is on time, clean, highly skilled, communicate progress well and trustworthy… and the final product is superb.

It is nearing 29 years that I have been in my home and the signs of age are happening. A neighbor recommended Pagan Construction for a small project. The follow through and work was so thorough on a small job that I have since used Brad and his team for EVERYTHING else that needs attention in my home. That ranges from diagnostic evaluation with my computer and telephones, outside lighting, and the change of my electrical panel because additional voltage was needed in the house. Reliability, trustworthiness. honesty would best describe this company.
I have come to depend on Pagan for my home as I would a family member for other problems.

A friend referred Brad Sockolov/​Pagan Construction to me when I needed to get some minor work done at my house. I called them and Brad made an appointment to come out and give me an estimate. They wound up sealing up a gap between my concrete walkway and foundation, reparing some crumbling stucco-​covered area of foundation in my laundry room and also replacing a door from my garage to my patio. Kind of a mis-​mash of tasks, which all were addressed quickly and very competently. Everything was cleaned up when the jobs were finished and the price was very reasonable.
I would use them again in a heartbeat, and recommend them to anyone who needed some foundational/​concrete work, or general construction. Brad is a GIANT (I mean that literally), and is both highly competent and good-​humored — what else could one ask for?
