Red Boy Pizza has been in Marin going on fifty years. They have a pizza called The Red Boy’s Special that is incredibly good — if you’re a meat eater! I’ve always gone to the Larkspur store but have had a couple of so-so experiences there recently, so now I order from this store and have it delivered. I’ve ordered it twice in the last two months and both times they were on time, courteous and the pizza was wonderful! One of the two deliveries was outside of their posted delivery area, but the person who took my order said no problem.

The«Red Boy Special» pizza is my all-time favorite, always has been. It took them an 1.25 hrs to get it here, but that’s to be expected. Allowing a half hour to prep and cook the pizza, it’s fifteen mins to my office sans traffic. But I ordered this at commute hour when it easily takes 30 mins to get from Red Boy, San Rafael to my office. So I didn’t expect it faster. The pizza was wonderful as always. The last few, I’ve gotten from Red Boy, Larkspur and I haven’t had good experiences there the last year or two. The dining area and restroom are terrible, the Red Boy Special hasn’t been as good and the team running things there is shabby. As regards the dining area they should either make it really, really nice or shut it down and do pickup/delivery-only like the San Rafael store.

Appallingly awful service. I wish I could write a review about the food, but it never arrived(we ordered delivery). We called in an order – 2 days in advance – for delivery of three pizzas for a social event. What’s worse… tonight we called three times to inquire about the delay and the first two times were told«the pizza was out for delivery.» Now the social event has ended, and our last update was to expect the delivery«any minute now»(one hour ago). We weren’t even treated respectfully on the phone, nor was there an apology. As I write this, the order is 2.5 hours late. We just called for the third time and we told(finally) something resembling the truth… that they had no record of our order. What a joke.

This is for delivery — the pizza is still great, the sourdough crust and red wine sauce is still the best. I have eaten this for as long as I’ve been in Marin and the pizza is always good. The delivery is super fast as long as you aren’t ordering right on peak times too. Eat24 works well with these guys.

we used to be fans. Now their pizzas delivery suck BIGTIME! They are chinzy and carelessly thrown together. No pride. Don’t order a pizza from them if you want to have a good meal.

This place sucks anytime you call when you’re hungry the people are too stoned to even answer the phone or get the order right especially Michelle they need to get her cleaning dishes she knows absolutely nothing about customer service too busy trying to get herself a date definitely try some other place if your hungry this place sucks or at least the staff makes it suck

This is a review of dinner delivery from Red Boy Pizza. It is easy to order via . They do not have a delivery fee. There delivery minimum is $ 18. I placed my order at 6:28PM. I was provided with an estimated delivery time of 7:20PM to 7:30PM. My pizza was delivered at 7:41PM. That is a delivery time of 1 hour and 13 minutes. I have always considered pizza delivery times over an hour to be excessive. The delivery person was very friendly. The food was neatly packed. They included numerous packets of red pepper and Parmesan. There was also a nice container of dressing for the wings. There were napkins and paper plates included. The food was good. Once delivered, the food was still warm but not hot. Pizza Roma — Medium/12 in(Cheese, tomato sauce, Italian sausage, mushrooms) This was a pretty good pizza. The crust is neither a thick crust or a thin. It is sturdy enough to eat without utensils though. while it is their calling card, I did not really pick up any significant sourdough flavour though. The mushrooms were quite flavourful. I really enjoyed the sharp fresh flavour of the tomato sauce. The sausage was mild. There was a generous amount of toppings. Plus, the pizza wasn’t greasy at all. Red Hot Wings — Ok, these are not red hot wings. They are not even really sort of hot wings. They were ok for a bit of a side for the pizza. But they are not stand out wings. They just didn’t really have any chutzpah. They also weren’t the meatiest of wings I’ve ever eaten. Receipt $ 18.35 + $ 10 coupon — $ 28.35(est.) Note: The receipt will show that I used to $ 10 Grubhub coupon. This was a coupon they provided due to issues with an unrelated order. Go Grubhub customer service! Red Boy ain’t cheap or inexpensive or whatever you want to call it. This was a relatively small medium pizza and six wings clocking in at just under $ 30. Overall — Red Boy delivered a pretty good pizza. If I was starving or in a hurry, I would skip them and try another place. Their delivery just isn’t that speedy. Plus, if you order the wings, just go in knowing you are not getting kick-ass Buffalo style hot wings. While a tad on the expensive side, they do not have a delivery fee and their minimum order is relatively low. There are a lot of pizza joints in the world and Red Boy pretty much falls smack dab in the middle of the pack.

I LOVETHISPLACE!!! When you call the guy on the phone he is always busy but makes sure to take your order quickly so that he can get your pie cookin. The crust is something that only a pizzexpert would know how to do… sourdough crust… come on… heaven!!! Delivery service is the way I usually go with these guys because the seating arrangement is a bit tight. Do yourself a favor and if you need to feed people pizza… pick this place!!! Personal favorite order= pepperoni and black olive with a side salad. P. S. They have the GOOD ranch. Ranch lovers you know what I’m talking about!

Delicious, Red Boy Pizza signature sourdough and red wine-infused sauce. Plenitude of toppings available. Also sold by the slice. Call in your order and pick up on the way home, or they’ll deliver. Three wooden stools only and a narrow counter serve as a cursory, courtesy spot for quick chow-down, as this is primarily a take-out/delivery kitchen.

Yes their pizza must be great… BUT… their staff need to change their attitude though! Answering the phone like he’s high on drugs! Tells me to speak clearly and that he can’t hear me. I was speaking like I am teaching a dog to bark — slowly but surely. You can’t help but take this guy as getting personal! He hangs up after saying your pizza will be there in an hour… that’s it! Geez!!! DISGUSTING! I asked for his name and he said he’s not giving out his name. He does not even tell you how much is charged on your credit card. Red Boy Pizza should be named STAFFACTINGSTRANGEPIZZA!

Worst pizza I’ve ever had! Dry, over cooked, zero toppings, and took over an hour to get delivered! Red Boy was the last decent place to get a pizza… guess skimming on sauce, toppings, and over pricing the new norm.

Pizza is excellent but too expensive. Just went and picked up an order. The service is TERRIBLE. The cashier was sitting on the floor, in the corner texting. She appeared to be under the influence of some drug and had no idea how to work the rewards card. Disappointing because I really like the pizza, but I’m afraid I’ll have to find a new place. :-/

I ordered a pizza on Friday at 6:04 was told it would take 45 minutes to 1 hour to get here. It took 1 hour 20 minutes and they gave me the wrong pizza, plus it was cold. I called up told them I didn’t want the pizza, just my money back, we’ll an hour later the driver came back with my money, through all of this no one said they were sorry or apologized for the mistake. Never again stars zero

Best take out pizza in central Marin. Their pizza is great. Crust, sourdough — seriously bomb. And that sauce? Oh man. I love it. A touch of spice and kinda sweet! Really really good. And the toppings are great too. Awesome pepperoni and really good cheese quality. They get the crust just right. And I can order online. I don’t eat at any of the restaurants, but why do I have to? I don’t know why you wouldn’t like this pizza. It is hands down the best take out available. Listen Marin… its not fancy flat bead pizza. It’s pizza. Get over it.

I’ll keep this short and sweet — really wanted to like Red Boy. Love supporting local business in San Rafael. But this pizza came at an Amici’s price(~$ 40 total to feed 2 people), but it was below Mountain Mike’s quality. Delivery also took an extended period of time. If I’m going to pay a steep price for my pizza, it better rock my world — like Amici’s. Won’t be giving my business to Red Boy any longer…

I’ve been going to this particular Red Boy since the 80s and 90s(when Patrick owned this franchise) and am only now writing a review because it’s so much worse now. Patrick’s pizzas were awesome, and we’d order whole pizzas back then. I don’t eat pizza that often now, so when I do, I get two slices with extra mushrooms. That costs $ 7.50, $ 8.00. Even five years ago, they would have lots of sauce and lots of mushrooms. Now there’s a thin smear of sauce and a scattering of mushrooms. Eh. The location is really convenient for pick up, though, right on the Miracle Mile. I’m sad that I have to find some other place for the occasional pizza itch. Here’s hoping I find a good recommendation in Unilocal

When I called Red Boy Pizza, I told an enthused cashier our address and looked forward to my coworkers and I rejoicing around our extra large pizza. However, THREEHOURSLATER, we remain… hungry, our blood sugar low, increasing symptoms of depression as our hope dwindles. We have spoken on the phone with Red Boy Pizza at least 6 times since first ordering our pizza, apparently all for naught. We have provided in excruciating detail our location, however the person delivering our pizza appears to have the sense of a direction equal to that of a pillbug. Even with his smartphone, he has not been able to locate our fairly simple address. I can only assume he has run off with our pizza to some unknown, remote destination where he flicks another slice of pepperoni out the window with every call he avoids answering. Even the pizza shop no longer knew where the driver had gone. It sounds a little dramatic; but we have been deceived unjustly. Hopefully this scathing review will save you from enduring this seemingly never-ending wait for what is probably extremely mediocre pizza.

Takeout/delivery only. They sell slices, which is great for those of us who don’t want a whole pie. The pizza is good. Nice crust, good quality toppings. This is old-fashioned, basic pizza, not new-agey/“California” pizza. Service is pretty good — I’ve always been treated well. Not sure what all the complaining is about. It’s a take-out pizza joint, not the French Laundry, for crying out loud.
