Not a great review, but some of it is my fault. I was expecting to pay about $ 50. I haven’t had a smog in a while, my truck is now six years old. The folks there told me it would take ½ hour, it took 45 minutes. The bill was $ 78.20. I asked the guy who rang me up if there were any specials I could take advantage of. He said if I had asked before he closed out the bill, he could have given me a discount. So I should have shopped around, should have asked for the discount earlier, and that is why I gave two stars instead of one. Will shop around next time.

Went here for a Smog Test. Called ahead, asked for the discount and left paying $ 58.20 after taxes. Not the cheapest deal, however they were friendly and had my car back to me in 30 minutes.

I’ve been going to these guys for a while, for multiple cars.
Tony is very nice and flexible, tries to accommodates schedule conflicts when possible.
I find them honest and knowledgeable. I usually do my research before asking for service quotes, and they are always in the reasonable range, unlike other places.
I think their name on Unilocal is misleading, because they do way more than just smog check! Tires, full service oil change, they replace/​fix anything!
They are my new go-​to car shop in Marin!

DMV wanted me to go to a Gold Station this year for my smog. I called them up, they gave me a great quote and also a $ 20 discount. I added an oil change to the service. They were very nice and speedy too, way under the time quote they gave me. I would recommend them.

Chose this testing station because it was close to work but was charged full smog fee before technician did the visual inspection, informed I had failed due to installing modified exhaust headers and sent me away keeping the full fee without testing.
My mistake for not researching thoroughly enough to ensure that the CARB sticker for the header did not match exactly the make of header installed, but the manufacturer (DC Sports) *is* an approved manufacturer by the CA Air Resources Board.
Not impressed that I was charged the full fee up front without explanation and sent away without a test due to the visual inspection.

We have been going to these guys for three years. They maintain both of our cars. We love them. They are very curteous and very professional. We trust them completely and recommend them to all of our friends. The gas is well priced as well.
