I have worked exclusively with Treemasters Tree Services for over 30 years and hands down… they are the most professional, knowledgeable, punctual arborists I could ever imagined!
Tad Jacobs runs a tight ship… with a crew of committed and devoted tree surgeon artists who have done amazing things for our properties over the years. Many days, I have been at work and unable to ‘micromanage’ his work, but came home to find out it was not only unnecessary but wasted worry.
Treemasters ALWAYS does the most amazing work and when they leave, it’s as if nature grew the view that way. There’s no mess, no call backs, no problems. These guys really love their work and their boss and it shows. I am so proud to write a review for Tad and the gang. Call them up if you have delicate or major work to do… you won’t be sorry.

Been using Treemasters for 3 years for our large cypress trees, in Stinson. They are
really a bunch of professionals. After the recent storm this weekend
they came out the next day and cut and removed the fallen limb.
The owner even called me after I left a message that night on their answering service.

Treemasters-​san-​rafael is the best! I have used their services for almost 20 years for tree trimming and tree removal and they are so neat and professional. I like the fact that they include a copy of their insurance with their estimate. Their rates are extremely competitive. I just had a tree cut down and their quote was much lower than another I received. Their staff is wonderful too. I won’t go anywhere else!!!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Treemasters! They did an incredible job on grooming, trimming and clearing out our severely overgrown hillside Mill Valley yard. The team was extremely courteous, conscientious, clean and detailed. Tad Jacobs, the owner, is an outstanding individual who gave incredible direction and detail throughout the job. In particular his direction in shaping our trees was suberb — he is a very talented artist. He took in consideration all our views of our yard from inside our house as well as the overall effect from outside the house. The end result is a lighter, brighter environment inside the house with gorgeous landscaping from every window. I feel like a have a newly remodeled home on both the inside and outside. I couldn’t be happier.

TreeMasters did a phenominal job on our Mill Valley house’s Redwoods, so when we moved to Sausalito and had 40 trees that hadn’t been groomed in 40 years. They did a great job at a good price and for the past 6 years they have done a beautiful job of grooming the trees on site. They are clean, courteous and true artists when it comes to shaping the trees — they are truly experts in their field

I requested free wood chips by email and two days later I received a call that they would be delivered the next day. The woman on the phone was very nice as were the two men who delivered the chips. I had a very pleasant experience with Treemasters.

Treemasters told me that I needed to take down a large Monterey Pine back in 2009. The tree is still going strong and, I’ve been told by two other arborists, has at least another decade left.

We had to have 2 tall dead birch trees, 1 huge Pine tree, and some other tall Junipers that we needed removed. We shopped for various quotes, Treemasters was on the high end. We didn’t want to take any risk because of the size of the trees. Treemasters was also the only one who presented their insurance on the first visit.
Tim came to take a look the first time, he was nice and informative, knowledgeable of the law, telling me about required permits for some of the trees.
I didn’t meet Tanya in person, but she was the person I’ve corresponded with the most, via email or phone. Very professional and quick to respond.
On the day of tree removal, I came home during lunch to take a look, and met the crew during their lunch time. They were all very polite and the main guy interrupted his lunch to come meet me and go over what they had been doing and what was left.
They left the place very neat and clean.
We were very impressed and pleased with the work, and highly recommend Treemasters.

I had a HUGE Monterey Pine in my backyard. When the recent wind and rain storm was predicted, I called five tree companies to give me a consultation and quote for removal of my tree and stump grinding. Of all the companies, I was most impressed with Tree Masters. Mike Q. gave knowledgeable, very thorough advice, including some no other companies provided: «The tree is dying. That’s why it is producing so many pinecones. It wants to ensure its propagation.» This greatly relieved my angst regarding my decision to have my dearly beloved tree removed. Mike quickly gathered all pertinent information: took photos of the tree, street cleaning sign, said the company would take responsibility for calling 811 to report and get clearance for underground work. All this was included in a report created on the spot with his mobile computer and printer. He handed me the quote (which was significantly lower than a similar highly reputable company) with copies of their licensure, liability and workmen’s comp insurance and photos of the tree. He said they carry higher insurance than any other tree company. I greatly appreciated having all this information provided to me in such a fast, efficient manner. I signed on the spot. Because of the storm and holiday period, the specific date for the removal was yet to be scheduled. Mother Nature brought down the tree two days later on Christmas Eve. I was out of town. The tree was still unstable and dangerous when my neighbor called me. Mike was willing to provide me with expert advice by text several times over the next couple of days (Christmas Eve and Day) as I communicated what I was able to learn about the situation over the phone. I cannot overstate how grateful I was of his support and assistance when he was on vacation. The tree ended up being removed by another tree company contracted by neighbor’s insurance company which was legally responsible for damage to my neighbor’s property so I did not get to see Tree Masters work. But based on the initial consultation, contract process and professional support during a vacation period following a storm that put tree experts in high demand, I have no doubt they would do a superb job. I give my highest recommendation to Tree Masters and Mike Q.

Treemasters came highly recommended as being good with reasonable prices. The salesman who first came to our house was very professional and thorough. He told me the guys would be at our house from 8 – 8:30. Unfortunately, they didn’t show until 10:30. We tried in vain to reach someone to find out if they were going to show up that day but couldn’t reach anyone. We are extremely happy with the job that was completed and the cleanup, so we’d definitely use them again. I just wish we were told a more realistic time of arrival so we wouldn’t worry.

I’m updating my review to 3 stars. After the 1 star review — I received a sincere email from the owner admitting an internal communication error and apology from the company. Their $ 600 2 hour quote got turned into a $ 2600 — 12 hour item on accident. I appreciate the email and admission of the mistake.

Treemasters recently did a fantastic job trimming our two large oak trees in our front yard. They arrived on time and worked efficiently and professionally. Fantastic crew and they left the job site spotless! Highly recommend them and Mike Queirolo is extremely knowledgeable and we look forward to working with all of them again. We had a sick pear tree… We called TREEMASTERS to see if they could come by and take a look. We made an appointment and the tech arrived — on time and was very professional.
He determined we needed to cut back the dead growth and trim the fruit tree next to the pear.
We had a written estimate right away which was very complete… including proof of insurance and photos of the trees and the extent of the intended work.
The crew came out on time and did just a great job… Not a twig was left behind!
We are very pleased with the whole experience and will use this company in future.

From the initial consultation until all the work was done, Tad and his team were great! From setup to cleanup, they worked hard. It was amazing to watch them. Safety is a high priority and it shows in the way they work. When they left they took all the debris with them leaving no cleanup for me. I can’t recommend them more highly! They are the only ones I will call going forward.

Buy some popcorn and beer for the day they come to watch and invite everyone you know under the age of nine!
These guys are great! Things began with a professional estimate process, (he was definitely an expert on tree growing patterns, laws related to certain species etc) and the guy offered us a great deal because he would already be setting up for our neighbor and needed our yard to do so. They handled all the permitting skillfully, and sent us helpful reminders they were coming.
But then the spectacle began. They day they came they descended on our house with a huge team of trained and uniformed guys in an organized team. All very professional, organized, and incredible acrobats/​skilled rope users (or whatever). It was actually amazing to watch and I regretted not inviting my little nephew over because his mind would have been blown. Instead we just stood there with our coffees and our mouths open. They were belaying off of huge redwoods 30 feet up in the air. Super fast, had a MEGA wood chipper, and then — GET THIS — they cleaned up the yard and even leaf-​blowed all the walkways cleaner than they’ve ever been in their lives. I was SOO excited. Oh yes, and they did a good job removing the tree without damaging any adjacent foliage. It was really an amazing technical show. :) It was a large tree and they were done by early afternoon.
Stellar performance and for a great price. THEN they sent me a follow up thank you on my birthday with a Starbucks gift certificate. What?!? Best customer service EVER. What a great company.

They recently trimmed trees, bamboo and a bush. Everything starting from the estimator to clean up was professional. The price was right.

I hired Treemasters recently to remove a huge, dying Giant Sequoia from our property. Every part of this process, from recommendations and bid through tree removal, stump grinding and cleanup, went extremely smoothly. They also handled the permit process with the town and contact with utility companies to coordinate checking for underground lines. Also, the price was reasonable for the amount of work involved. I have used Treemasters several times over the past 6 years and each time has been a similar experience to this one, although this was by far the most challenging project I have given them. I am also impressed with their green business practices. I highly recommend them.

I needed a tree taken down and another trimmed. Out of 4 companies we called, they were the ONLY one that responded. I even called the others twice and they didn’t even call back — and they’re well known tree companies.
Treemasters came out to look at the trees, a written bid is in my mailbox within the week. I got a follow up call 2 – 3 weeks later (didn’t get back to them yet cause I’d been trying to get a hold of the other bozos).
The trimmed tree looks terrific, 1000x better than I envisioned. Swept and cleaned up like they were never here. Crew was wonderful and accommodating (even well dressed). Job done as promised, high quality work, on time, no hassles, very efficient, knowledgeable. GREAT job.
I’m posting this review because I really appreciate a professional company — especially one in the home improvement field — and they deserve a big pat on the back! If you’ve ever had a bad contractor then you know what I mean. They really have their act together.

I have to write an update on my dealings with this company since I cancelled. The owner/​manager has called me back to apologise for the confusion, and he has gone beyond nice to make it up with me.
I had used another company for that one particular job, but that was because of the error. I will use this company again, they have worked for me before.

I wish I had more trees to remove!!! These people were terrific from the estimate all the way to the removal of the trees. They came a little early and I was gone. They cut, removed and cleaned up the mess in less than one hour.
Our HOA has used other tree services and none compare!
