ZERO would be accurate – Marko Aredo, the owner of A and R Heating and Cooling of San Ramon arrived at 5:10 pm yesterday – approx 4 hours after agreed appointment time-(he was told when appt made-we had to leave home at 6 pm) – He stated he knew what the problem was as he entered our kitchen – before touching the dishwasher – but he could remove the front of the dishwasher, pull out the«bad water pump and rebuild it in 30 – 45 minutes» and«why don’t we leave when we have to and he can finish up and lock up the house alone» We declined that offer –I watched him take off the door panel, and he told me he did not like to be watched, it «makes him nervous» so I left the kitchen – Within 10 minutes he decides that he «needs a new part and his partner has it but can’t come same day and will come tomorrow and fix everything – «so here is the next day –parts still on the floor– it is late afternoon-nobody has shown up to fix the dishwasher, or put it back together – they do not answer the phone when we call to see if anyone is still coming– If this sounds like the service, attention to detail, honesty, and responsibility/responsiveness you would like to experience –you should give them a call– However, if you are sane– –I SUGGESTYOUDONOTUSETHISBUSINESS!!! AND what is the word I am looking for to describe a repairman you never saw before suggesting you leave your open home for them to «close up”-?? F’get about it!

My Furnace was not working properly. I called the A&R Heating to fix my Furnace Marco and his partner try to fix my Furnace charge me $ 400 dollars for half an hour job Than i had inspector came in to check my Furnace the next day, he found all types of issues with his work. then I called Marco he said he will stop by to fix the problem. Marco cancel on me 3 times. i wish i never do business with this guy again. i am reporting him to Department of Consumer Affairs — State of California. His business ethics are zero. Contractor license number No 861542. He also uses 4 different phones to trek people.

I wish I could give them zero star. Our water heater leaks. Another guy came take a look and didn’t know how to fix it. Then, I found this company on google map. I regretted not Unilocal before hand or I won’t waste $ 300. Two guys came over, took a quick look and gave us a quote of either replacing it for $ 2400 or fixing it for $ 240. Since ours is just 6 years, we decided to fix it. Right before they left, we found that we had No hot water at all. I stopped their car, and then the guy(Marco or Mario, not sure his name) came back saying he did nothing wrong that will result no water. And, he said ‘how could I know you had hot water before?’ What the !!! So absurd! I didn’t let him go, so he had to fix it, charging us $ 60 more. The heater leaks even worse the next day. I will NEVERNEVER use them again and if you couldn’t fix the problem, Say it. Get a few quote before you make decision.

I have never written a review simply because I have never really received that bad of service to warrant it. After using the services of A&R, I felt it was necessary to warn other consumers of what a horrible experience we had with them. Prepare to be overcharged and your system not working properly. The technician had limited knowledge and after charging us over $ 500 he failed to properly fix our ac/heating. After we informed him our unit was still not working properly, he told us to call someone from another company because he was not familiar with our controller even though we had already been charged for his services and paid! What kind of service is that? In the end it’s your choice, but I recommend calling other companies before deciding on A&R. Best of luck!
