Dr. Collins is an excellent doctor and we are so happy to have found a Parkinson’s Disease specialist on this side of the Bay. My husband had been going to Stanford and recently had Deep Brain Stimulation surgery. He developed swallowing and choking issues that were very serious. Dr. Collins had several remedies and the problem has greatly improved! He is highly skilled in programming DBS stimulators. He does a very thorough first appointment and works on each issue until you see positive results. If you have Parkinson’s, you won’t find a better doctor in the East Bay.

I have been treated for Parkinsons by Dr Collins for the past 5 – 6 years. I was having tremors and over this period of treatment he has tried different medications and until we found a set of medications that elimnated the the tremors.(Azlect, Leva Dopa and Marapex) I am very satisfied with his treatment. Additionally, when I had a billing issue he personally resolved for me to my satisfaction. I recommend Dr. Collins.

I don’t know what happened to the other reviewers, but I had a great experience with Dr. Collins. He was knowledgeable and concerned; he took all the time that I needed to answer my questions, both at the initial consult and the follow-up visit, His staff was very helpful, too. I am happy with his services and I recommend him whole-heartedly. My wife shares this opinion as Dr. Collins spent time answering her questions also.

I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this so called doctor. Treated my mother like shit. Absolutely NO positive feedback to him. Instead of judging an old woman with dementia, he should look in the mirror at something that he can control, his weight! Morbidly obese man who should not be treating anyone!

I was referred to Dr. Collins and was looking forward to getting information and relief for neck pain, which was severe enough for my primary care physician to have referred me to him for follow-up after an MRI. I felt as if I was wasting his time and had to ask if there was any medication he could recommend as he did not offer any help other than suggesting PT. That would have been fine had I felt he had any sympathy whatsoever for my problem or explained what the MRI showed. I was very upset after leaving this appt.

After that first visit, things went downhill. His receptionist was extremely rude and unhelpful about billing insurance, and he was brusque on later visits. I found no migraine relief, and he was not open to new ideas– instead, just kept prescribing things that didn’t work before. Very disappointing.
