This Dina lady has no eye for coloring! I asked her to do a touch up for my growing out light brown hair and she put in a really ugly red brown color in my roots that didn’t match at all. She kept on saying that it looked nice! What the??? I had to go to another salon the next day to have it fixed. She’s just one of those paycheck salons who’s just really out for your money. I should have known when the first thing she asked me after I told her I want a root touch up was«How much are you going to pay me?». Ugh! I wish there’s a negative 5 stars I can give her!

This review is for MISSKIM at Dina G Salon. She moved to Dina G when Cool tops for kids in san ramon closed for business. Kim’s beyond great with CHILDREN and my girls(4 and 2) have been incredibly happy with her. I’ve been taking my daughters since the first haircut day. She finishes the haircuts with beads, ribbons, sparkles and more. We were in panic when I found out her formal salon was closed but another loyal mom posted where she had moved, we were more than happy to follow Kim. I am not sure about other stylists at this salon because I have not tried but I absolutely recommend KIM.

The place is a little stoggy and slow and I can’t say anything about their regular stylists… but my son’s favorite stylist just moved here from Cool Tops for Kids in San Ramon upon their sudden closing. She’s been with Cool Tops for 7 years and she was definitely a local favorite of the place. People came from the other side of the bay just to have her cut their kids’ hair. Her name is Kim and she’s FABULOUS with kids! You can call the shop directly to make an appointment. She’s been cutting our son’s hair for over 2 years(he’s 4) and she truly has a gifting with children… even the most difficult(um, that would be my son at 2). We plan on sticking with her as long as our children are under our roof and as long as she stays in the business… she’s that good! Since moving to Dina G’s, she’s also started promoting the fact that she does pretty much everything — women & men cuts, styling, coloring, you name it. Anyway, this gem of a stylist makes Dina G.‘s definitely worth checking out.

My fauxhawk hairstyle was beginning to look like a mullet. According to urban legend, the mullet dates back to the 19th century, when fishermen wore their hair long in the back to keep warm — hence the term mullet. I had a serious short-long going on, business in the front, party in the back. A buzz with a tail, an ape drape, a Tennessee Waterfall, a 10/90, an Achey Breaky, Hockey Hair. There aren’t enough bad things to call my bad hair. It even has international names: So, I bit the bullet and went to Dina G Salon to get it updated. I was scared. I was going to cut my hair short. Dina was great! She was very kind, and discussed what I wanted. She made sure she was clear about what was possible and gave some suggestions. Dina gave me a very relaxing shampoo with a lovely head massage. While she cut my hair, she was very personable, maintaining casual conversation between asking questions about my hair and offering styling advice regarding the thinning problems I have. She suggested products to help reverse it, but didn’t push it like crack. She cut from the front toward the back, so I could see the new look appearing. After cutting, she blew dry and styled it into a funky look I instantly loved. All this for less than $ 50!(Prices vary depending on style, length, etc.) The salon is sparkling clean, and full of wonderful stylists. It’s full service so you can get a cut, color, perm, straightening, mani, pedi, acrylics, waxing, the works!!! Extra bonus: She kept calling me «hon»
