I’ve visited various Gamestop locations for years, and this is by far my favorite one. Even though the store is small, the customer service is always amazing. The staff always greet me when I enter and ask if there is anything they can help with — even when the store is busy. They are very knowledgeable about both new releases and older games. I find they usually have what I am looking for in stock and I always leave happy.
I recommend for those who are also frequent visitors, to join the Gamestop Rewards program. While it is $ 15/​year, you get a monthly subscription to Game Informer magazine and access to great prizes and discounts with their points system.

These guys are super awesome, always extremely helpful, down to earth and just cool guys (and gals). I try to bring my business to GameStop in general just cuz I’ve always had good experiences at them all.
This store in particular is great, as well as the Oakland store at Fruitvale (right off 880 by FoodMax) and the Berkeley store on Shattuck.

It was Oct, 12, 2015, late 8pm when my daughter and I were at Stoneridge Mall, Pleasanton. She needed to stop by Game Stop looking for a hard to find Skylander game figure. The Game Stop at Stoneridge Mall did not have it. I called the Game Stop in San Ramon and they had it but were getting ready to close in 10 minutes. We jumped in the car and headed on over. Got caught in a little traffic but the wonderful Manager and employee waited for us to arrive! Awesome service, awesome employee’s and awesome product inventory. They went up and beyond our expectations by having the item in hand ready for her when we arrived while they waited for us. I will definitely return here. That’s the best service we have ever had at ANY Game Stop. THANK YOU GUY’S.

Nice place to buy viedo games .They also sell used games, for great deals! Bought a game for one of my cousins ! They have plenty of games and counsel to choose from.

Super small store and a bit cramped. The staff is nice and they always have what I’m looking for. An issue with gamestop in general and less so with this particular location is the sometimes laughable amounts you will receive for game trade ins.

Great place to get your gaming needs .
If you have steam it will save you money if your a pc gamer but if you enjoy your console. This is the G spot for you :) enjoy

Good game selection. Slow service and awkward conversations with the employee girls. Very claustrophobic with all the clutter and little boys trying to buy their games.

I went back a few months ago and haven’t updated the review. Got a xl 3ds pokemon version from here and I had a pleasant experience. I think the lady who rang me up deserves a positive review.

This is my favorite Gamestop, and probably my favorite place to buy electronic games and related stuff. The owner is friendly and plays almost everything they have in the shop. For the most part the staff are also good people (much higher percentage of helpful and knowledgeable folks at this GS than over in Stoneridge or the one that closed at the IMAX).
This place is also in an open shopping strip with ample parking, is right next to a few good places for food and is walking distance from a movie theater if you want to browse before/​after your movie. All around convenient.

Good store, knowledgeable staff, Steve is the best employee there and should be given his own store. He remembers what type of games his customers like and gives his honest opinions.

this store is very limited very small and Monica is very rude.
I would not recommend this store! I went in to return my xbox that I had purchased 5 months prior, they instantly said I could not return it, I had to call game stop customer support, they informed me I had purchased a 2 years warranty, and told me I can return it, dont hessitate to call 1 800 531 5000

I’ve been going to this Game Stop since 2005. It’s a small footprint store, but they always seem to have what I’m there for. That and Will is pretty fun to go harass, he’s a good dude. :)

I have been going to this Gamestop since 2004 or 2005 and the staff and management (Will?) have always been very helpful. However, the experience I had last Friday was so great I had to write about it. GameStop had a trade in promotion where you could receive an additional $ 50 for your old consoles. I really wanted to trade in my Original X-​box 360 and Wii + games and hope to have enough for the R2D2 360 Kinect Bundle. Now usually when someone walks in with over 30 trade in items, employees willroll their eyes because it requires them to individually inspect every item and look up accessories and games in their system. However, Peter was so helpful and really went above and beyond in helping me and my brother get everything traded in and in order. Peter spent a good hour helping us trade in everything to the point where I only had to pay $ 3 out of my own pocket for this new 360 bundle! He really went above and beyond his duties as a Gamestop employee and I wanted to recognize him for that.
After the transaction he even showed me some new titles coming out and I put down reserves for three titles coming out in the fall. Keep up the good work guys!

We went here to get a James Bond Game for the lil’ one for getting good grades. We were helped by a Friendly gal named Monica. Super Nice and was very Efficient. She looked up the Game for us, and was able to grab us one on sale. The Game was Brand new and we were able to get the Used price. We also signed up for the Gamer membership and we were literally out the door in a hurry. The Customer Service was outstanding and we will be back if we are the neighborhood again. Thanks for keeping people like Monica who down to earth and really are sharp in Customer Service skills.

I go to this gamestop quite frequently and i feel that this is a fine establisment. They answer just about all the questions i have and can make good convo as well. All the employees there are great especially the asian girl, she is probably one of the most attentive employees i have ever see. Dont pay attention to these other review, they must not have woken up on the right side of the bed.

The two previous reviewers apparently don’t understand the rules of gamestop or any retail store for that matter. With any store you need a receipt to return something so the blame shouldn’t be on the employees for doing their jobs.
I’ve gone to this store ever since I was old enough to ride my bike into the town, yes the store is small and a converted EB Games but from the years that I have been going there most of the employees have been very nice and helpful, especially the manager, he can answer almost any question!
And I’ve found that not every employee there can tell you every specific detail about every system and its games, a few of them have strong specific knowledge on one system but won’t much at all about another.
Overall, good general knowledge and if they don’t know it they will ask or look it up for you. I’ve always gotten a hello and have a good day.

I bought a game on saturday and it didn’t work. I took it back to the store on monday and asked if they could give me a working copy of the game. I didn’t have a receipt. The unyeilding worker would only give me $ 5 as a trade in credit for a non-​working game that i purchased for $ 34.95 only two days before. Now, I love game stop generally, but come on. Don’t be an idiot. I buy a lot of games and now I will never go to this particular store again. This place is probably going to go out of business soon. You can’t be that stupid and make it in this economy. And yes, the parking is crap.

I don’t know why I keep using this store. Of the 10 employees here that I’ve dealt with in the last two years, only 3 have been decent. I know, they work in a video game store, but come on! Can’t you have some personality and be some what helpful? DO you need to talk down to everybody?
If you do come here, know what you want and buy it USED. If you want it new, go to Target or Walmart. The only good thing about this store is selling a game back to the store and using the credit to buy a used game.
On another note, the store is tiny and parking can suck. They do however usually have a large stock of games.
