I used John’s Home Repair to do some minor repair work at a rental house I have. The work was to replace a faucet in a bathroom. Just the faucet, not the whole assembly, P-trap, etc.(40 minutes?) Install a security light on the side of the house, which entailed running a wire through the garage to the outside.(1 hour?) Screwing in 2 chain latches on front and back doors.(3 minutes) Popping out a toilet seat and popping in a new one.(1 minute) Replacing one window casement and two new window cranks.(1 hour?) I am allowing one hour for shopping for parts, which is generous. The bill for the work was $ 637. The labor charge was $ 540. John Hagopian, the owner of the business charges $ 60/hr. for labor. The parts purchased were $ 89. He charged me for 9 hours labor. What the @#%&? John’s Home Repair is a complete rip-off. Spread the word.
