7 months and no cable/internet access. LOUSY service, no returned phone calls, no returned emails. $ 309/month for NOTHING. I’d give them negative stars if I could. Real-Estate/Lawyer is now involved. Maybe I should email their CEO?

No wonder this place has a one star. Merit has been working with my current home association to funnel money out of the neighborhood. The price is increasing and the work is decreasing. The homeowners board has fully furnished house fronts but everyone else’s stuff never gets fixed. I called them out on it and they have been ignoring me. Merit stands for excellence and value and I feel like they are using their name improperly. The property manager is incompetent as it comes. He comes in dressed like Mario(seriously) and kisses my board’s president(I believe she has a hand in funneling our money towards her own expenses). There is something too unbelievable about this company. I wish my home association would have hired me to sit around and do nothing either. And the one positive review here is written by a worker. Typical. I have an idea for their new company name: Mis-merit property Mismanagement.

My FIVESTARS is for Christina McCandless as Property Management Professional… she navigated a difficult situation and made it all work out as well as it could have — under the circumstances. Her professionalism in handling delicate issues was outstanding. She is firm, fair and present with matters. Additionally, she LISTENS with a great sense of logic to the circumstances at hand. Bravo Christina for helping me navigate this $ 2000.00 a month rent increase that thru a Major Curve Ball my way!

It’s not so much the people who work for Merit that are incompetent, it’s the Management that manages them. We have gone through 3 Property Managers at Merit in 5 years. They can’t seem to keep people employed there because of the hostile work environment(or so we are told). Everytime I try and get in contact with the Managers Manager there is someone new. It’s frustrating for me but I am sure even more so for them. Its a thankless job. All you have to do is see these people struggle as they keep adding another Property to their Portfolio. Good for Merit to get their monies worth but there is such a thing as Good customer service and you can’t get good Customer Service on our Property, when they are managing more than 4 properties? There is not enough hours in the day. How are we expected to get focused attention on Our Property? Are the people in charge out of touch? In a nutshell…

Merit property management group has the least professional staff in Northern Ca. that I have ever worked with. It all starts with the attitude of the management teams and includes the very poor communication between the teams. The unprofessional way that the Merit team in PLACERCOUNTYWORKSWITHFELLOWBROKERSISABSOLUTELYINTOLERABLE. you would think that they would want fellow business folks on their team. Crazy…

Sometimes I sympathize. These folks have to put up with some lunatic board members and residents. Property Managers are often assigned too many properties to handle. The part I do not get, no matter how many times I complain, is why I get three HOA dues statements a month, all with different amounts, incorporating late fees for which we have never been late. Logging on to your account on line gives you yet another different amount due! For Gods sake people! Clean up your act!
