The Marvegos Fine Art School

Not recommended to children’s enrichment classes at elementary school locations. Instructor did not know where my child was for 2 of the class sessions causing a lot of stress. Steer clear.

The Marvegos Fine Art School is a hidden little gem in the Marketplace Shopping Center, and I’m so glad I discovered it! They offer art classes for different ages, and the 7:1 ratio creates an intimate setting. My first grade son looks forward to his Art Exploration lesson every week. In this space, he is allowed to learn and grow and express himself without being judged for his work, measured against others, or expected to perform as he was in sports. As he is introduced to new media (chalk pastels, oil pastels, watercolor, clay, sculptures, mixed media), he feels free to experiment and exercise creativity while being overseen and guided by his instructor. Each instructor has a background in fine arts and works very well with the children.
They periodically offer an introductory free lesson to give your child a taste of the studio while educating parents about the studio’s philosophy and method behind exercising creativity. The cost is not cheap, but it is not unreasonable. You get what you pay for, and at the Marvegos you get quality.

Great art school for kids and adults. Teachers are knowledgable and patient. I think the tuition is a bit pricey though. However, teaching curriculum is wide and students learn to use multiple mediums and uses a variety of color application.
