Chili had a very good and interesting flavor. My date and I got a regular dog each with everything on it. Also got a frito pie and tamale. Frito pie was really good, tamale(with chili and cheese) no so much. The actual hot dog meat/flavor was nothing spectacular but the buns were really soft and with the chili, cheese and what-not, I can see why this is a local favorite. I’d probably get around to trying it again(when I’m in Tulsa next).

Dean’s is a Sand Springs staple. Everyone loves their chili and coneys. Friends that come back to visit Sand Springs always want to eat at Dean’s when they are here.

I drove the school bus with Dean15−16 years ago and began eating here then. I consider myself a burger, hot dog, and chili connoisseur and Dean’s is THEBEST Coney Island in the Tulsa area. Love those simple, little, delicious dogs! Dean’s chili is absolutely one of the best chili recipes anywhere too! If your in the area, don’t miss out on Dean’s!

I love them. I LOVE them. Just… try to avoid the high school rush.
