I have eaten at Kyoko several times(to say the least) and love the food and décor! They have REALCRABPEOPLE!!! You don’t have to settle for that strange mystery fish mixture that«tastes like crab». I personally enjoy flavor and don’t want to mask the taste of the fish, especially when it is wild :-D! The Hamachi(my personal favorite) is beautiful and thinking about it now I wish I could get it at every Sushi place I go or have ever gone. Junior does great Chefs Choice Rolls, you are bound to meet him as he works there every god loving day Kyoko is open and is it’s Owner! They now have beer and wine! Yes that includes Sake! Check out the Kyoko Sushi Facebook Page for specials and updates.

Second visit was today, food very good. We had some fusion sushi rolls as well as traditional and true Ramen soup bowls. Delicious Ramen with variety of vegetables, noodles and pork over stock with distinct sesame flavor. Sushi is bit more expensive than my favorite restaurant down the street, but also lacks more comprehensive menu and ambience down there. Ambience at Kyoto is clever and distinct. Parking for Cedar street bridge is challenging. Service is hit and miss. Still adjusting? Will be back… often.

Great views, the food is decent as well. The service is slow, so give yourself plenty of time. We had a 40 min wait to get a table, even though there were several empty table. It tool 20 min to get out simple appetizers(seaweed and squid salad) and 45 minutes to get some rolls and shashimi. But slow is nice when you have time to enjoy the views. The hostess needs a bit of training in courtesy, oh well. She could try opening the door for guests. Food is great thought. Price is worth that… barely.

The ambiance, décor, and view were the best part of this place. The people were nice and the service was great. I ordered 2 rolls and 1 order of sashimi. The sashimi was a decent size and the taste was good. The rolls were normal sized in comparison. The taste was why I gave this 2 stars. I had the northwest and the catipillar roll. The rolls were covered in teriyaki sauce, so it was pretty much all I could taste. The spicy mayonnaise tasted different. They called it TNT sauce, but it wasn’t spicy at all. This place is expensive, I paid over $ 30 for 2 rolls and sashimi. I’m used to paying a little less than that for quality sushi. Maybe I just ordered thr wrong rolls, but maybe their ingredients need a lot of teriyaki sauce to taste good.

Cheesy décor, no booze, no vegetarian rolls on the menu so we got very boring cucumber and avocado rolls, the edamame was grossly over seasoned to the point of being inedible, expensive for what we received. Would not go here again. Shoga is still the best sushi place in Sandpoint and you can enjoy a cocktail.

Good place! Relaxing setting. No booze available here :(so minus half a star. Rolls were good but a bit big. I would rather get an extra piece or so then have huge slices that you can’t take in one bite. Not much in the way of rolls than are not fried but it’s tasty for sure!

Delicious and fresh. Very generous sized rolls. Good prices too. They even have vegan options on most rolls. The staff is very friendly. We love the décor and atmosphere. Have been here several times and loved it every time.
