This place is lights out for Italian food. As a Chicago native I know good Italian food. We come to Sandusky for a race once a year and Baci is the reason we stay at the comfort inn. A true diamond in the rough. The owner is one of the nicest and most gracious man I have met and I will always look forward to visiting Baci. Keep up the fantastic work!

Located in a Comfort Inn, this could have been a so-so meal but it was amazing! The food was delicious and didn’t stop coming. Weordered our entrée and before the main course we got a «primo» — pasta course(we got penne with a lobster cream sauce), an antipasto to share with meats, cheeses and olives, and a large salad. We were certainly too full for dessert but could have had cannoli or tiramisu. Our waitress, Amy, was attentive, friendly and very competent. To top it all off, even with drinks our meal was extremely reasonably priced. We will definitely be back!

The other reviews are pretty accurate about décor and music. The food was terribly disappointing. To begin with, the selection was poor. So our party of 4 wound up all ordering the same thing. We waited 50 min to get our food in all but empty restaurant. When we got our food, it many of the ingredients described in the menu were either substituted or omitted completely. Our server said there’s a different cook was on tonight and this is the way this particular makes it. Apparently all 3 of the chefs they employ basically make whatever the heck they want. We felt a little bad for our server, as the only other table on the place had a complaint as well. Find another place to eat.

Went to cedar point and came here after. We stayed at the hotel that is attached. The bar was fun, there was no one in there when we came but the bartenders made up for it. They gave us great service! Some of the best I’ve had. My one friend forgot write contact solution and the bartender Jason, even offered to drive to Wal-Mart for him since we were drinking! We didn’t have him do it but the offer was still nice. Pizza wasnt that good but what do you expect at 2:00AM. He offered to cook it all through out the night so that was awesome. The staff here made our night Jason, and Jen deserve a full bar on a Saturday night with how great they were. Next time I come to cedar point, this is the place I’m staying

What happened to Baci? We SOO looked forward to returning here after our first visit from Chicago last year for the 4th of July holiday. For a couple of weeks we awaited the truely«FINEDINING» experience that we had last summer in 2013. Couldn’t wait to get the ahi tuna that compared to no other. This year we were told that it wasn’t the«catch of the day» this time around which disappointed us but we understood. This year, the catch of the day was«salmon».what kind of salmon you ask? Well, as quoted by our waitress«JUSTSALMON». We asked where it was from and her«guesses» were«I think either Alaska or Hawaii». When asked how it was prepared or what options we had for preparation she said«I’m not sure. I think it comes either BOILED or grilled» Our table of 4 sat there and scratched our heads trying to decide if we even wanted to take a chance on it. The restaurant was empty at 8:30pm on a Saturday night and we were seated in the corner booth RIGHT next to the kitchen. ANOTHER couple showed up for dinner and they were seated DIRECTLY behind us with the rest of the facility empty. We thought that was odd but it actually ended up being very helpful because the had a different server who’s section we will request IF we ever return(Josh was a wonderful and knowledgeable waiter). He brought over the display tray of entrée options for them to choose from and explained each, and everyone of them to his guests which if we had him as a waiter, we may have ordered differently. He actually was kind enough to bring it to our table upon walking back to the kitchen with it to explain to us the entrée selections. Onto OUR dinner experience. Our food was actually great. MINUS the«salmon» that one person in our party dared to order. It was slimy, mushy, smelly and NOTICEABLY undercooked. Honestly I’m surprised that it even made it out of the kitchen? I wish there were potato options to go with my $ 39 lobster tail… I’m not a fan of roasted potatoes and the only other option was French fries but only upon request. A baked potato or mashed would have been great. I’m not sure how the waitress we had last night has made it as a server at Baci this far, but it’s only the fault of the management not properly training her. She shouldnt lose her job but SHOULD be trained properly and should be educated on the menu. We knew more about the menu than she did, thanks to our excellent service last year, and also thanks to Josh.

My husband and I got in to the hotel around 9pm on Thursday June 26th. Hungry after a 7 hour drive, we went down to Baci to get a meal and beverage. We sat down at the bar at 9:30. Atmosphere and overall appearance was nice. Bartender was nice enough, but he made sure to tell us they were closing in a half hour so we better order quick. OK then. so we ordered a Cosmopolitan and a Long Island Ice Tea to drink. Long island was good, Cosmo was way too strong. For meals we ordered the Lake Erie Perch and the Al Forno pasta. The perch wasn’t bad, could have been seasoned a little more. The Al Forno though was terrible. Meat was«eh» and bland, the pasta was overcooked, and the sauce was absolutely terrible. No flavor, bland, and terribly watery! Sauce would just run off the pasta, wouldn’t stick to it at all, and had about the same consistency of the drinks we were having. When we advised the bartender of this, he apologized that it wasn’t good, but that’s it. No offer to get something else, did not comp our bill for the bad food… and given how much the cost of this meal was that was extremely disappointing. I rate this as high as «Meh» simply for the ambiance of the establishment. The rest was very poor. Don’t know if everyone had given up by that point since they were«closing in a half hour», but that’s very disrespectful to your customers. Huge disappointment! I write this from my hotel room that we are staying in until Tuesday morning, and we will not be returning to this restaurant.

At first glance this place is hard to take as anything more than another hotel attached crummy restaurant. When you walk in your senses are overwhelmed by the wall to wall fake plants, 70’s mood lighting, LED bubble pillars, and wood panel ceilings. As we learned, the décor doesn’t matter, since it’s all about the food. We were seated promptly, even for being 7pm on a Saturday night. I guess small towns have some great advantages! Our waitress brought our menus and got our drinks, which the bartender made just right(seriously this is a pet peeve when a bartender makes a simple cocktail either too strong or too weak). For the appetizer we ordered an antipasto plate that had some nice cheeses, meats and bruschetta. The meats and cheeses were above average, but the star of the plate was the bruschetta. We could have ordered 3 more plates of it and still wanted more. I ordered the Lobster Ravioli and a Baci salad. I’m guessing the ravioli weren’t made in the kitchen(seriously rare for even high end places to do that), but were amazing. The sauce which tasted freshly made was even better. I’ve had $ 100 plates at places in NYC that would have a hard time beating this. The salad was slightly odd mixture of varied greens with a balsamic dressing. One the edges of the plate, around the greens, various mix ins like walnuts, carrots, feta cheese, and tomatoes were laid out. It allowed me to make each bite how I wanted instead of overwhelming me with random extras. The other three people in my party got varied things like a baked pasta dish, a filet, and one just got plain noodles with some olive oil and the carbonara sauce on the side. Everyone had an EXCELLENT entrée, even the very picky chef in our party who likes to pick everything apart. For desert I had a cannoli and another person had a Lemoncello. We both could have had second or third helpings it was so good. We left completely satisfied and only out about $ 25 per person including a couple rounds of drinks. If you are in town for a weekend at Cedar Point or boating on the lake, make this a stop for dinner. You won’t regret it. The crazy décor might even grow on you as you’re having a fantastic meal.

This review pertains to the ‘fine dining’ offerings: I ate here based on reviews and location. I must admit, I would never have tried it had I not read such good things about this place. The term«night club» would have caused me to over-look this gem! The food and service are excellent. The menu offered a variety of meat and pasta dishes. Appetizers and salads are limited, however, they serve a perfectly balanced tomato bruchetta with every meal(not too much garlic). The bread is brushed with herbs and spices(very lightly) and is served warm. They also serve a dinner salad with the meal: romaine lettuce, olives, cheeses, thinly sliced meat, figs. It was fresh and delicious. I ordered the filet mignon. It came served on a bed of oven roasted, seasoned potatoes and a side of asparagus. The plate was drizzled with delicious sauces — just enough to give you the flavor, but not so much that it ruined the dish. The flavor was outstanding. I followed my meal with the tiramisu and a cup of decaf, which they brewed fresh when I ordered it. Both were very good. The restaurant offeres booth, bar or table service and looked like it could easily accommodate large parties. It provides a low-light, white table cloth type of setting, with a beachy feel(mural/plants). Very comfortable. Give this place a try. I will eat here again next time I am in the area.

Is It a baci ball court? A jungle? A club? Restaurant? Well it’s all but one of the above. Definitely not a court, but one ridiculous club that serves«fine dining» quality food with a rainforest esque theme. NOLIE! Definitely a fun place to end the night before heading back to your musty hotel room(it’s connected to the massive comfort inn). OR a good place to start the night… Or hell. the whole night, but in the company of good friends, or apparently hookers? Regardless, Annie, the super friendly and über sweet bar tender will take care of you! Just be sure to ask for the vodka after they bring you your vodka soda… They might forget that part.

Sure the bar is a little off the wall with the décor but my experience here was great. Hotel gave us 2 free beers each and the bartender had no problem dishing them out. The food that was spit out 10 minutes before closing was very good(Capri Salad, Duck Breast, and Bruschetta). I’d definitely come here again to try an entrée to see if they stand up to the prices. From what I tasted, I think that Becky has something here as a regular place for dinner. Bartender wasn’t slow. Very helpful. Worth sitting at the bar at least and ordering off of their bar menu before committing to the dinner experience.

The décor is a bit tacky, but the food is great. Don’t expect bar food or a quick meal. At Baci’s it’s a 6-course meal and probably the best for the price in the Sandusky/Port Clinton area. Everything except your entrée(seafood, steak, lamb, veal, pork chop) is prefix, and portions are generous. We’ve been going here for years and haven’t been able to figure out why this restaurant doesn’t attract more people. Looks are deceiving; I’ve never left here disappointed with the meal or service.

This bar IS ridiculous. There are seriously too many branches and fake plants to see the«fine dining» part of this place. Their menu should reflect that of a standard fried foods bar, rather than the $ 20 plus dollar seafood entrees they offer. Don’t get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed the food that they served there, I just think given the atmosphere, it’s a little pricy. It is attached to a Comfort Inn, so really, how much more classy can the place get? The drinks were cheap though and the food was good. If I wasn’t staying at the Comfort Inn, there would be no way I would stop here.

It’s hard for me to talk about Baci. I cant take it seriously. The bar is so ridiculous and the bartenders are so slow compared to my experiences with Chicago and Dallas bars. The drink prices are decent though the selection is lacking. It’s connected to an effing Comfort Inn. The restrooms are gross. The owner/manager guy is creepy. The music is terrible and two years late. Fake hanging greenery everywhere? Surely this is a fire hazard.(Or at least a dust hazard.) I dont know about the«Fine Dining» part because I’ve only been to the bar, not the restaurant. And I dont really plan on returning.
