I stayed here with a coworker a few years ago. We got the last room in the hotel which is good for us. The location was nice… easy access to the freeway and to the park in general. The room was clean but was a little dark and nothing special. On the other hand it was fine… friendly and well priced for what we got. No complaints here!

THISISNOT A BESTWESTERN any longer. It’s now a Day’s Inn. Although the owner has spent a good deal of money on making the lobby quite fancy to look like a Hilton, he’s neglected the rooms and other areas of the hotel. Loose floor tiles, shower water that gets burning hot out of the blue, non-working air conditioning, broken security locks, and missing ice dispensers to name a few.

Was a pretty nice hotel for the short time we stayed. We went on the day a major race was going on so all the hotels in the area were booked. We came here and they said they didnt have anything but once my aunt told them she was going to go the the Great Wolf Lodge they told us the yhad 1 room left with a Jacuzzi. We took that room. It was lovely and pretty big. Breakfast was god awful though. They had no ceral for kids, im not a child but I love my Fruit loops. IT was free though so cant complain much.

Stayed here via a great deal on priceline. We were going to Cedar Point the next day. Didn’t see the point in spending a ton of extra money just to be conveniently closer to the amusement park. This location is only a solid 20 – 25 minutes away from Cedar Point and the ride there is quite effortless and traffic free(until you hit the main strip of all the hotels on the main road towards the park. Conditions of the hotel: Beds were fine, tv was fine, room was clean. Front desk woman was VERY nice and willing to be as helpful as we needed her to be. Pool: Don’t stay here if you plan on spending most of your day there and you have kids who stay in the pools at hotels. This pool is a glorified hot tub with no jets. Once 10 people get in there its basically impossible to swim around. There’s a strange odor in the hallways of the place. It’s a mixture of chlorine and tobacco(is the best way I can describe it). I was a little worried that it’d be in the room too but it wasn’t. There are a few restaurants close by and there is a movie theatre literally right across the street, so its a great stop over point on your way to another location. The hotel was quiet at night and during the day. No complaints there. Not sure if there is an elevator for handicap access.

This hotel was very nice. Service was good, and the front desk was very nice. Clean, nice rooms. The only problem I had was the breakfast wasn’t all that great, but it’s free. To the person above, you probably WERE a raving lunatic, so what did you expect? I would have blown you off too. You can’t treat people like crap and expect them to bow down to you. To give a hotel 1 star because you screwed up a shirt isn’t right.

Sigh. My experience with this hotel couldn’t have been much worse. Let’s see how short I can make this horrendous tale… Background: A wedding party has a block of rooms at Best Western hotel for the wedding weekend The Scene: The best man & I are heading to the rehearsal dinner, he stops by the front desk to borrow an iron(as there isn’t one in the room). The front desk supplies an iron of theirs and we return to the room. The first swipe of the iron up the front of the shirt leaves a long black stain. Front desk offers $ 5 dry cleaning credit on our room bill. The Party: Best Man has no choice(no time) to wear anything other than the stained shirt, hoping his tie will somewhat cover it. The Aftermath: Lovely and persistent friend(uh, me!) contacts hotel, thinking(mistakenly) that they will credit our account the cost of a new shirt(only $ 40). Uhhh… no. The worst part was, when I called the hotel to speak to the owner/manager about the situation, she refused to speak to me despite the fact that she was STANDINGNEXTTO the front desk clerk who answered the phone. This was obvious as I asked to speak to her, the clerk put her hand over the receiver and told her who was calling, and the owner clearly said she would not speak to me as they’d already offered the $ 5 dry cleaning credit. Wow, way to make me feel like a raving lunatic!(Which, mind you, while I am capable, I hadn’t nearly reached that level yet). The after-Aftermath: A letter to corporate Best Western quickly resolved the issue, they mailed me a $ 40 check(cost of the shirt) within a week. BOTTOMLINE: While I wouldn’t rule out ALL Best Westerns, this one has an owner/manager who could offer a seminar in «what not to do» related to customer service. There is no way I could suggest, in good conscious, that anyone support a business that is run in this way.
