Very friendly staff. Hampton Inns really know how to hire and train great staff. But if you have a problem with rooms that reek of old, stale cigarettes, then you probably want to go someplace else. Even the hallway stinks. Access to the pool is right across from my room. Once I got here, I found out it’s open until 1AM! I don’t know if that will be a problem or not as I try to get a good night’s sleep. Since it’s the middle of the week, and not a holiday, it’ll probably be okay. I pick hotels according to availability of whirlpool and pool. Pool area here is beautiful. Whirlpool doesn’t work. Darn it. On the plus side, this room does have a comfortable chair to sit in. The Hampton Inn in Wilkes Barre(last night’s stay) didn’t have any comfortable place to sit, so that’s an improvement here. I actually passed a newer Hampton Inn right off I-80 to come to this one. I think this one was ten bucks cheaper. I probably should have just sprung for the one on the highway.

CUSTOMERSERVICE at its finest!!! I wanted to personally thank the Night Manager Jeff Collins and House Keeper EXTRAORDINARY Kim Schloesser for making my stay such a wonderful experience. I have stayed at the Four Seasons and Raffles and they both mirror the type of customer service that guest want out of the stay. When i choose a smoker room, Jeff was able to move me to another room without an fuss or discussion and Kim moved all of our stuff as we visited Cedar Point and put our soda on ice. Now that’s what I call service. The Breakfast attendant were so nice and accommodating with a nice hearty breakfast. Thanks again to all that made our stay memorable
