Ruby Tuesday

I can describe this place in one word… DIRTY!!! We entered through the mall entrance and the hostess just looked at me, no hello, no how many in your party, nothing. I said there are two of us and she grabbed two menus and took us to the table and did not say one word at all. She later was in the back of the restaurant talking to other employees and when people would come in she would run past our table to the hostess desk. We were seated in a booth in front of the bar so the bartender was our server. She was actually pretty attentive. I ordered the garden bar and my husband ordered the New Orleans Seafood Dinner with the garden bar. I wish I would have looked at the garden bar before I decided on that. It was disgusting! First off, there were only two plates there and they both had caked on food on them. So I told our server and she brought out more plates. Food and salad dressings were scattered all over. The cumumber and olives were frozen to the bowl. There was something I couldnt even tell what it was, maybe zucchini. The mushrooms were rotten (I tasted them) and so many of the items looked like they had been there all day. It was just gross. My salad consisted of lettuce, cheese and the rotten mushrooms (which I did not eat) and thats it. I was scared to get anything else it looked so nasty. My husbands dinner came with a side of broccoli and we always love it here, but it was brown and soggy so he didnt eat it. He said the shrimp was ok, so thats all he ate. I went to use the restroom before leaving and OMG! It smelled so bad and it was filthy! I turned around and walked out. I have never been to a restaurant that was so dirty. Very disappointing, we definately wont be going back!

This is my treat to myself every week. I have to work 9 – 8 on Mondays so I try to get in a late lunch and dominate the salad bar so it can hold me over until I get off. The servers all know my order so it’s nice to be able to just sit down and know my order is taken care of. Their mini burgers are delicious and the garlic mayo they use is legit. I wish they would have more coupons or repeat customer cards like they used to for someone who eats alone. All the coupons are for people spending 20 bucks or more.

Left as we were standing at the host station. Treated like we were a bother. ‘Manager’ walked up to talk to the host as he was looking for a seat for us. He gave us attitude when he realized we were standing there confused because we thought we were there to be seated. Also, manager, buy a belt.

Biscuits are great! Service was nice and attentive! Now for the bad, the steak is oven baked not grilled so it tastes disgusting, I asked for loaded fries and only got cheese… stick with simple youll be fine!

Definitely won’t be returning.
The waitress we had was training a new waitress, which is not a problem in and of itself, but our waitress clearly was in no mood to be training someone else. She was not someone I would choose to train someone else on how to be a good waitress.
In addition to the bad service, all the food was mediocre. No one at the table was satisfied with what they ordered (4 adults and 1 child). Also, I was really annoyed that they couldn’t just make simple chicken strips for a kid. Kids are not foodies, they don’t want your signature batter. Just keep it simple.
In either case, I won’t be coming back. I’ve eaten at a lot of the restaurants in the area and this was the poorest experience by a good margin.

Service was good even though the waiter punched in the wrong order for my wife and she received something that was not even close to what she ordered. They brought my meal and I was just about done eating before she got her meal. The salad bar was good but could be kept a little bit more organized. The food was good but the portions were pretty skimpy fortunately I filled up on the salad bar so I wasn’t too upset about it.

Nice atmosphere, but there is a door that opens from the street, and when you walk in, there is no hostess stand. So you have to walk from the mall enterance to be seated.
Staff is friendly, a little to friendly when talking about their personal life. Then when I was eating I seen a cook who was stocking the salad bar, stop to watch tv. Then another employee was texting at the bar with the bartender.
Them when ready to cash out, I had to walk up and ask another server to cash me out, but luckly the server came and apologized.
Still food is ok, you can tell they cut back on quality at the salad bar but its seasoned well.

All Ruby Tuesdays are pretty good since the new menu change over, we stopped there on our way home. They provided a couple cupcakes to my kids since it was their birthdays and our waitress was very nice.

Its pretty good. No great choices in Sandusky
