I live in Sandwich and have been bringing my husbands uniforms to get cleaned here for years, so when I needed my wedding dress cleaned I thought I’d give them a call to see if they do that. When I called come to find out I was speaking with the manager of the Sandwich location. She asked me a little about the dress, how long it was, if it was strapless or not, and if it was a wedding dress. I told her it was floor length, strapless bridal gown, she continued to quote me $ 28.75, which I was very pleasantly surprised to hear since I was expecting to pay about $ 200. I brought it in the following day. The woman working in the store was not who I spoke with over the phone and she was’;t sure how much to charge me. I told her the person I spoke with yesterday said $ 28.75, she didnt call to confirm or anything, and took my dress and told me it would be ready on monday for pickup. I am in the process of moving to the other side of the country and so monday was perfect as we move out friday. I go in to pick up my dress on tuesday, a day late, and its no where to be found. EKK panic attack! They cant find my precious wedding dress!!! The manager assures me it will be found and says that someone will be calling me in the afternoon. I get a call a little later, saying that they do not clean wedding dresses in house, and that she could send it to Dennis to be cleaned but have no idea how much they would charge. I told her its now too late as I’m moving and cant wait around another week to be charged some mystery amount. Today I went in to pick up my dress and there are two beads missing!!! Which of course the manager acts like are not missing, like I’m just going crazy and making it up. Of the two of us I know more than her there are two missing beads! Also I’m not sure why after having it for a week no one thought to call and tell me this, but instead wait until I go to pick up my dress and have it not be there! She tells me that she was the one who I spoke with on the phone to get the original quoted price and that if she has known it was a wedding dress she wouldve told me they dont do those in house, and that it wouldve been upwards of $ 200. Well its funny because she did ask me on the phone that day if it was a wedding dress, and still quoted me the $ 28.75. Unfortunately my opinion of this company is now nothing to speak of, and I encourage anyone looking to have their wedding dress cleaned to go elsewhere! They are rude older ladies, who make up stories to cover their behinds. I am so incredible disappointed with my experience there, and will be sure to tell everyone I know on the Cape in the Sandwich area, which is a lot, to go anywhere but here! Very unprofessional!
