We had a wonderful experience at Sea Breeze. Very friendly and expert service from both Ronald and Rich. With the flexibility to put lenses in frames that we supplied. We enjoyed Ronald’s sense of humor and loved Rich’s dog Logan. Great job on the new lenses as well. Definitely recommend this spot.

Terrible — Go someplace else. — Their Buzzards Bay office — About wasted $ 900.00 !!! I am 52 and have been wearing glasses since I was 12. I have a condition with right eye for stignatism, so that lens is always a bit thicker than the other and has a different curve to it. I started going here almost two years now switching from a place in RI. First time visit required eye exam for new pair of prescription sun glasses. Optomoligist is only there a few times a week, so had wait almost a month to get in due to our conflicting schudules. I asked if they could just make a script from the glasses I was wearing since they were just 1 yr old and perfect. They said no. No way to process a script in that manner. Odd since other places can do that… Got in for the exam middle of Jan 2012. Exam area was not clean, and lenses I had to look through were dusty and had smudges on them, including the machine which blows air into the eye ball to test. I developed PINKEYE3 days later from this exam !!! Thanks for not being clean guys. Some two weeks later sunglasses arrived. Prescription was off, and unsuitable for driving. After two times I had to ask if the script took into account that I had astignatism in one eye. They asked to see my other glasses, and took them to the lab across the hall and put them into the machine that they said they didnt have… hmmmm. Came back and said lens would be ready in two weeks. Two weeks later got them back, now its almost March… really. Takes that long… ?? Gal was at counter when I picked them up.(Secretary ?) So she says, look outside and let me know if they are ok? Really? Is there an eye chart I cant see across the street !!! So what ever happened to sitting down with the doc and going over the eye chart with new glasses to ensure they are correct !!! Anyways, I get into my car, drive a few blocks away use my mirror and see that they are VERY crooked on my face… so now I have to turn around and drive back for adjustment… jeeesh. Anyways, almost a year goes by, and for some stupid reason I go back. Probably since they were always polite, but I shouldnt have. I have another set of glasses done, and about had to go through the same issues… including the lens on right eye not being correct. Being right eye dominent this is a problem when driving/seeing road signs. I compared the right lens with the one I had done in RI, and the arc to the lens was not EVENCLOSE. The secretary used a depth measurement device to measer the arch depth and found it to be way off. She tried to say that the lenes«warp a bit over time » WhAT !!! Eye glasses were two years old, and still like new… basically if you cant tell the truth better to keep your mouth shut and say nothing. Another week goes by, glasses are back. They are still a bit fuzzy in right lens and still not the same(thinner — same material too) as the previous prescription. I make special trip there and told that they would get back to me by phone. It has been FIVEDAYSANDSTILLNOPHONECALL… In short folks you would be better off and healthier getting your eye glasses off the internet than going here. Stay clear of these charlatons !!!

I have been getting my eye exams and glasses at Sea Breeze Optical for many years. Dr. Holmes is a very pleasant and efficient. The glasses that I have gotten are good quality and when I have had any issues with the fit of the glasses, if I am persistent, the issue gets resolved to my satisfaction. The location in Merchant Square is great, parking is available and the hours fit my busy schedule.

I’ve been going to Sea Breeze Optical for over 10 yrs now. Dr. Holmes is great, patient, and will take the time to ensure your prescription is accurate, your lenses or glasses are comfortable and makes working through insurance a breeze. Dr. Holmes is committed to providing the latest in contac lens technology and had introduced me to lenses that were even more comfortable and breathable(believe it or not) than the ones I had been using for years. Flexible hours and two locations — I would definitely check out Sea Breeze.

Stay far away from these guys. I’ve been waiting 3 months for my glasses. The doctor messed up the prescription and would not re-check my eyes. They refused to refund my money so I went to another doctor and got the correct prescription(Lens Crafters) I got the correct glasses from LC the same day and they even replaced my sunglass lenses that were made up with the bad prescription for free! Now SB is making new glasses on the LC prescription. Never again!!!
